Beside theres a bloke at Brens Oval that could have won that Worst Bloke contest even if they are in D3. The higher divisions dont have a monopoly on Worst Blokes.

You will pay for locking the 10 worst blokes in the VAFA forum.

It's the only thread of any comical interest.

I'm interested in knowing how a BF moderator "will pay" for such conduct (not that I agree with it necessarily).

In any event, if such comical matters are to be perpetuated, perhaps they can be rekindled in the form of a new thread, without the VAFA Forum one being highjacked.

This week sees the some of most important matches of the season in A section:

Uni Blues -v- Marcellin
If the Eagles are to maintain their hold on 4th, they must win this one, or Scotch will leap-frog with a win at the Pit.

St Bernards -v- Old Scotch
Rapidly running out of home games, the Dogs need to win this one, or they may become part of the relegation mix.

Collegians -v- Old Trinity
If the Lions win this one, they'll go 2 games clear in 8th.
Lose and they'll slip back to 9th with a tougher run home......

Meanwhile, in B section:

Old Ivanhoe -v- De La Salle
Winner should become the minor premier. Loser may end up in a 1st semi of Brighton continue to win.

Caulfield -v- Old Essendon
Plenty of Forum interest here, the Fields will drop out fo the finals' race if they lose. The Bombers need this one to get ahead of MHSOB.

St Bedes -v- NOBS
Can the Tigers consign the NOBs back to C section? In the process, almost saving their own bacon?

Thoughts anyone? (I don't really care if there are some ordinary blokes running around - what about the footy?)

There must be a hell of a lot of pressure on out at the Buleen playing fields this week.
The truth of the matter is that if Collegians beat you this week, the club that was only denied an A Section GF by one Danny Jordan will find itself in with a nail in it's B Section coffin.

OT's will implode if they lose this one..... Game on.

Be ready for some heckling from the home crowd at the Hairy Twott this week.

Word about town is that Keunen, Goullet and Uren could be heading back to their school Old boys club to play footy next year....

How would you know Butchy? I thought you were in Perth.

Word is that Keunan would not be allowed past the gates at the Terrarium if he left the Snake Pit.

Snoop, what's a Terrarium?

Snake it sounds like you have a similar situation as the one facing us Fielders out at Glenhuntly Oval. We haven't been returning the calls of Ezra Poyas and Rupert Betheras after they wanted to return to the fold. We had to tell them we couldn't accept anymore terrible footy names as we already have the Widjaja brothers and Spiro Argyros (or Kebab as we call him)!

OC,

Pressure produces diamonds.

Sadly, last time I looked neither Collegians or OTs had Nicky Oppenheimer in their ranks. Be fair to say it's a genuine 8 point game.

Bring on the rain, the sleet, the long sleeves, and the reversal of the 1st match result, with the margin halved. OT's by 1 point thanks.

I'd like to see that.....

Another big week in VAFA football this round with many season defining matches in A & B Grade...

A Grade

St Kevins host the Bloods, but it should be all one way traffic as the Bloods do it easy. The 3rd place Students host the 4th place Eagles in match of the round. I have the honour of waving the flags for this match and am tipping an absolute heartstopper. The Students, but only JUST  . OM's host old rivals Old Xav's at the bowling green. OM's are the mid-season improvers and should take it up to the league leaders. My tip is for an upset. It is the battle of relegation at the Trott this week as the OC host Trinity. I go on record as saying that the loser of this game will get relegated to B grade next, and my feeling is for the OC to be too strong for the boys from Bulleen (Sorry Scribe :( ). In the final match of the round Old Scotch will keep their finals chances alive with a win at the Snake Pit.

B Grade

Match of the round has Old Ivanhoe hosting De La Salle. I toss the coin and it comes up heads... Old Ivanhoe for me. MHSOB host the Tonners in another classic contest. MHSOB too good at home. Whitefriars will finally record a W with a home win against Mazenod while at HQ OE's do battle with Caulfield which may end the season for the loser. The Fields are inform and should get the 4 points. The final match will see the boys from Brindisi St put another nail in the NOB's coffin.

Let's hope this good weather continues and best of luck this weekend!

All clear thanks! :D

Gentleman, please do not dismiss the C grade action this week, some of you just might be playing against us next season.

After disposing of a talented OC's last week, the boys have Therry at the Gerry on Saturday. Beauy and Blacks both have danger games away to Parade and Ajax respectively which could see us move just one game away from the double chance.

As for some B grade news, a word of warning Knight Rider. Word on the street from a friend at Old Essendon is that they are hell bent on seeking redemption for this season's earlier loss to Caulfield and will come out swinging in a big way. "There will be fireworks" were his exact word's. Shame it's not at HQ on Sunday, would loved to have got there to watch it with him.

Mr Picnic let me inform you that you're not the only one to have trekked the Kokoda jungles, dug holes to discreet your waste and galvanised your will with a sing along around the camp fire! I'm ready for your so called "fireworks" and will gloat in our victory tomorrow to every girl at Room 608.

P.S I have a guest list sat night for those interested, message me privately if your keen.

Heritage, is that the guy that played for Old Essendon???

Speaking of Old Essendon and ordinary blokes, a regular 2's player by the name of Parker surely has to take the cake. Who does he think he is with his shiny BMW, absolutley kidding himself.

I also hear he likes Mr Picnic's scraps......?

Please refrain from making personal attacks. I believe that I Have earned the right to drive that prestigious BMW through my dominance both at work and on the dance floor at Mo Mo's. Unfortunately my on field form has declined of late, but I'll be back. Whammy!

We're astounded and amazed at how those guys manage to play such good quality footy on such little preparation. They certainly whip out the cotton wool early on a hard Tuesday night!! Obviously there's a lot of talent in their ranks - their crisp skills when they actually do a full session are warmly welcomed.

Shelton is really travelling well now, and he's joined Thomson, S. Clayton, Hamill and Bamford as the real workhorses who usually put in well both nights. Hyatt, Grainger, Howse and Jansz are doing just enough to get by, but we've barely see Gibson in weeks (saw on the GVFL thread that he was injured).

From what we hear, it's a 3 horse race in the GVFL with Mansfield's home ground advantage enough to see them up there as well. This weekend's game should be a cracker and, if there's no snow, then the crowd might be bolstered with a few of our boys enjoying a road trip and some rare cans of VB during a game of footy (though we should be down at HQ to support Rambo)!

;)

Sorry for the late reply scribe...
Is there any chance of OT recruiting any of the euroa boys for next season? Old Trinity might be a force next year with a few euroa inclusions from the sounds of your report scribe (if they work a little harder).

Eddie are you one of those mentally frustrated ex-pat poms eternally scarred by the relentless lashings we've been dishing out to your feeble cricketers for the past 20 years.

You couldn't seriously be taking pot shots at world class super stars like Ponting and Hayden, when you've had clowns like John Crawley and Mark Butcher propping up your batting line up all these years. How long til Harmison breaks down and the S.O.S call goes out to Phil DeFreitas.

Eddie, better sign up Johnny Wilkinson to open both the batting and bowling. Thats the only way you poms will win anything ever again!
