Oh man, it wasn't that long ago I saw him pottering around in Yarra Street.

Obviously a great player and coach, and a tremendous contributor to the golden days of football television.

This is absolutely tragic news. Bob Davis is one guy who you can always say bled blue and white. A champion on the field, a champion coach and most importantly, he was a champion person.

The world, the footy club and Geelong is a lot worse off with Bobby's passing. No doubt he will be given a funeral that matches just how much he meant to the town.

Condolences to Bobby's family.

Terribly sad, but not entirely unexpected - he hadn't been well for quite a while, and I remembered last time I saw him that he looked especially frail compared to the man we knew in the media. Just glad that he lived long enough to see more success, RIP.

Sad news rest in peace Bobby. It was a great moment when he was standing amongst the team as they were jumping up and down after just receiving the 09 cup. He had a grin from ear to ear.

A sad loss for footy but in particular Geelong FC. Would have to be the most loved figure of your club?

I am led to believe that Bobby was a wonderful man, may he be remembered so.
