Oh My God !

One of my favorite players during the Baby Bomber's era.

Tough and highly skilled players.

Had great battles on the wing against Dipper.

FL and Border football identity Merv Neagle has been killed in a truck crash.
Neagle, 54, died this morning when the trailer of the B-double truck he was driving flipped over and crushed the cabin at Tharbogang, near Griffith. The Area News reports Griffith police are still investigating the cause of the accident but believe Neagle lost control of the truck while navigating an S-bend.

Neagle was senior coach of Hume football league club Walla.
He was a champion of the Essendon football club, where he played 147 games from 1977–85.
He was a member of the Bombers’ 1984 premiership side and came second in the 1980 Brownlow medal behind Footscray’s Kelvin Templeton.

Neagle also played 56 games for Sydney before retiring in 1990.
His son, Jay Neagle, played 28 games for Essendon between 2007 and 2011.
Neagle has been a popular figure at Walla since taking over as coach this year.
He has taken the Hoppers from the bottom of the ladder to the cusp of the top six this year.
