Of all the things to highlight, is the Warne Foundation really it? The thing was a total rort and everyone knew it! He did genuinely do plenty of good, like they are highlighting what he did in Sri Lanka, Lankan friends of mine from around Galle and other hard hit areas will legit never forget what he did there after their world was decimated by the tsunami. So shining a positive light on a known rort just makes no sense when they could just focus on him literally paying to rebuild hundreds of schools in the Galle region

What happened with his foundation.? He sure had a big list of high profile friends .

Who else couldn't bowl leggies for shit unless they used that " wonder ball " where it showed you where to grip it ?

It's sad that his charity work never got the headlines or lead on the nightly news like his " antics " did

Like so many, I loved watching him play cricket. Especially when he tore the Poms & Safs to bits.

I'll admit I didn't like his antics that seemed to keep him in the media spotlight forever.

I also got sick of his cricket commentary. where he often just said too much.

However its clear from tonight that most of us never really saw so much of the other side of S.K.Warne.

He was an amazing talent, for sure. He was a classic larrikin, for sure.

But he clearly had a big & generous heart. Most of us, certainly me, didn't see that side of him, until now.

RIP S.K.Warne.

Champion sportsman & Champion human being.

Consumer Affairs Victoria commenced an investigation in 2015 into the Foundation after it failed to submit financial returns. Financial returns in 2014 had revealed the charity spent $281,434 on fundraising during the year, but its efforts only raised $279,198. Newspapers alleged that the organisation was only donating 16 cents in the dollar of its income.[5][6] During one year, the Chief Executive of the Foundation, Shane Warne's brother Jason, was paid a salary of $80,000 whilst only $54,600 was distributed to beneficiaries. The organisation spent more than $300,000 on catering, alcohol and prizes for events while posting significant annual losses.

^Basically the whole set up was a rort that only existed to give his brother a job and organise celebrity piss ups

As I said earlier, he did great real charity work through other mediums so I don't know why they needed to talk about this rort

Jeepers ol Anthony is channeling Ricky Martin with Christiano Ronaldo!
Warnie delivered many leg spin tutorials. I'd wager this is his earliest one ahead of the 1997 Ashes series in England.

Pretty sure (the first one at least) was on the VHS tape of his leg spin kit that was from the mid 90's.
I think The Cricket Show (lunch during channel 9) borrowed from it and expanded it a bit as well

I has no real intention of watching it but I did in the end, and I'm glad.

There is no doubt that Warnie lived the life, and a very fortunate life that was. It also seems that he had the self awareness to appreciate that and really gave what he could to his friends and others in need.
