Looks to be a 2-horse race between Cross and Kerr. Kerr is surely the best player of the list but the question is of value. Is Cross at 56 better value then Kerr at 16? Jones is in for respect but who will come out victor? Will be decided by next Friday.

Has to be Kerr, it doesn't matter how low Cross was the fact is that West Coast picked Kerr with Pick 18 and he has turned into an All Australian, 2nd and 3rd in the Brownlow Medal, and a cornerstone to the West Coast midfield, and now will be their No.1 midfielder.

Cross while he is very good is not of the caliber of some of the other players on that list, his disposal by foot is pretty poor and he is very much a handball first sort of player, and we all know you gain more ground kicking than handballing.

I guess a good way to see how much Value these picks were you could look at a hindsight phantom draft. If you had the first 20 picks in the 2000 draft who would you take in what order. That would be a real view into just how valuable these players are.

Surely Cross has to be the value pick of that draft. Kerr is certainly the best player, though at pick 16 he doesn't represent quite the same pick:talent ratio that Cross does at 56.

Kerr is obviously a better player then Cross. But pick 56 Vs pick 18 means Cross is a better 'value'. We haven't seen the best of Cross yet, polled votes in pretty much every game he played on the Bulldogs board until he did his knee and missed 9 weeks. Still finished 4th or 5th over all. Wait till next season ;)

Kerr by 27 votes. 2001 Value picks is up and running for those interested. Very interesting with stars at either ends of the table up for votes. Thank you for voting in the Value Pick series.
