I don't think VB will ever be a star but he's been one of the Crows hardest working, more consistent players. Definitely well deserved. Also if the rotation cap comes in, gut runners like Van Berlo will be even more important.

Liked the little jab at Tippett. Looking at our FAs for next year Im not too worried. Thommo, Stiffy, Truck, Porps and Reilly, I dont see any of them going anywhere.

Noble is keeping all the major building blocks together for a premiership assault. Smart moe to stitch all up for medium term to give the side stability - particularly with free agency. Looks like he is spending the Tippett $'s wisely.

Hopefully some nice front loaded contracts to allow extra $'s from next year for a raid on someone like Daisey Thomas, who is after more $'s ... so will the Pies flick Swan 1st...

Exactly what is happening. Getting everyone locked up and front loaded. Noble has a plan to get a free agent and I'm betting on Daisy. Hope it works!

This squad with natural development, the injection of Crouch and someone like Daisy can win a premiership. Good to see everyone sticking around to see it through.

I wonder about Reilly a bit. So far he's been right off the boil, is that cos the lack of game time, cockyness that he seemed to exhibit a bit of at training catching up with him or cos his mind's elsewhere? By a few games in we should know, most likely its the cockyness thing and the reality checks he's had so far will fix that up but ya just never know.

Tippet handled it poorly and that the players saw how not to do it. His actions over the year of delaying talks distanced himself from the playing group. Also mentioned his own desire to be a one club player and that people have to realize to play at the top level you may have to play interstate. All references to Tippet I believe.
