I brought this one up, because I think one of them might lose their spot to Chappy this week... For me, I'd take Stokes. I think he's a little bit harder at contests, and seems to get more possies than Varcoe. Varcoe's pressure in the forward 50 is good, but I'm not sure whether he can hold his spot just on this.

Against Port I'd say Stokes (hell, I'd say him anyway). Port lost last week because they were outmuscled. Stokes is one of the hardest nuts in the team - will consistently throw the body into the contest, and damn the consequences. Definitely need him if we're going to beat them.

agrees both should go....but if I had to choose 0ne it would be Stokes at this stage. I disagree that one of these guys is automatically out for chappy and feel it may be Selwood.

On the ABC post-Fremantle, Drew asked Matty about playing Port this weekend, as he remembered Stokes making a name for himself against the Power last year. His response?

"Yeah, I love sticking it up the South Australian sides because they overlooked me in the SANFL, and I enjoy showin' 'em what they missed out on." Or words to that effect.

I say horses for courses, we let Stokesy play proctologist and stick it up Port again.

Does the world really need another stinkfist?

Hunt was VERY good last week. I have been one of his strongest critics but he played VERY VERY well.

Yep, played a big part in setting up the win in the first quarter. He is hard at the contest (bar that one time last year) and can play back pocket, wing or help with forward pressure.

He seems to have regained some penetration by foot to.

I don't see him being dropped unless it's because (apparently) he doesn't travel well?

Hunt v Port does not bode well for us. I think he will have night terrors just sleeping the night in Adelaide.

"ahhhhhh cobras" ;)

For mine they both stay and Hunt goes if mackie is back. Hunt only got his effort levels back to 100% because of the stint in the VFL. Another reminder that he needs to be at 100% all the time won't go astray. The palyers are getting the message.
