And if possible to make that even worse he's exactly the type of player we need.Oh
and
Dayne Zorko for the win
Wish we had half the heart the Blues are running around with at the moment.

He looks thrilled to be thereI hope that latte sipping injury prone Hawks "superstar" hasn't been showing our captain how much money he can make in off field appearances by attending the opening of a packet of chips.
Didn't pick May to be that type of person View attachment 375844

i feel you on that one. i haven't been as involved in posting thoughts on recent games or similar topics, partly because the stuff i'd write just sounds like a broken record, same old reasons why we played poorly, slight glimmers of hope and then back to the reality of a poorly structured team that doesn't even seem to have progressed in 7 or so years. Is it just me or... is anyone finding it real hard to stay motivated for the rest of the season, after we looked to have got up over our injury curse, we are still so poor. Really kills any enthusiasm you have for the team, or for getting up to watch them early on a Saturday morning.
Echo this to an extent. As a member and supporter you want to see effort, passion and character. As of late just don't know who we are because of our on field performances. Just part of the roller coaster I guessi feel you on that one. i haven't been as involved in posting thoughts on recent games or similar topics, partly because the stuff i'd write just sounds like a broken record, same old reasons why we played poorly, slight glimmers of hope and then back to the reality of a poorly structured team that doesn't even seem to have progressed in 7 or so years.
i'm still lurking around, mainly through mod duties, but i am finding it tough to stay enthusiastic of late.
Yeah I find myself going to other boards i.e. Soccer and Video Game boards on here, just avoiding the AFL boards out of sheer apathy for the AFL season this year. As well as avoiding any AFL media I can, which is easy when you are on the other side of the world.i feel you on that one. i haven't been as involved in posting thoughts on recent games or similar topics, partly because the stuff i'd write just sounds like a broken record, same old reasons why we played poorly, slight glimmers of hope and then back to the reality of a poorly structured team that doesn't even seem to have progressed in 7 or so years.

Edit: Also find myself counting down until the Premier League season starts again in August...
[emoji20]Just a really disappointing season
Injuries continue to bug us but really we should have been able to cover most of them
No consistency
No breakout games from our draft specials
A sense of anxiety and doom hovering over coaching/back of house
No major sponsor
I feel like the basis is there for a real surge but unless there's a June miracle we're a bottom 4 team again
I believe riots would happen if we lost these two to other clubsGCS cannot under any circumstances lose May or Lynch to another AFL club. It would destroy the culture of the club and be a marketing nightmare.
Where are you staying?Hi, sorry to jump in on this thread but im lost!! Im looking for a forum to answer a couple of questions about going got see the GC Suns, im visiting from England and want to go the the game on Sat 19th August, anyway that's enough, help a pom out please!!
Yes you can buy tickets on the daySo this is the issue, I land at GC at 5.25pm which gives me 2 hours before the start of the game and once ive got through passport control and the rest of the family drop me off en route to the holiday home in Runaway Bay. Can you buy tickets on the day of the game?
I'm expecting a big change for the second half of the seasonWhats up with Lynchy this year boys? Contested marking way down and just looks like he cant get a free run at the footy.
I think the loss of Sammy Day is actually hurting Lynchys effectiveness as Day would take the 2nd best defender away from the contest where 2MP doesn't have the forward craft yet and lets his defender cut off Lynchy.
2MP has also stalled this year, considering we arent struggling getting the ball into ht F50 this year i thought he would start the flourish
our forward line has been a shambles this yearI'm expecting a big change for the second half of the season
