Hayes, ROK and Sylvia all outs this week, copped two zeroes because of them. Followed up Harbrow, Shaw, Hargrave, Judd, Gia and Stanton all doing shit all. Lost my prelim in my mates league after being undefeated the whole season. BS.

Come first bounce Friday he would be copping 2 donuts, 1 in backs and 1 in forwards. Enright is a late withdrawal, thats a 3rd donut. Byrnes late withdrawal, thats 4. Kennely late withdrawal, thats 5. Come Sunday, Hitchcock decides to pull out too, make that 6 donuts.
Yep all these late withdrawals have reminded me why I mainly concentrate on overall score rather than league ... seems to be a bit "luck of the draw" as to whether you or your opponent has the players that pull out late ... you can save all the trades you like but if 4 or 5 of your players pull out after lock out you can't do much about it!
I brought in Byrnes, who went out late along wth Enright, Kennelly and Selwood. Carrazzo and Fisher got injured, Thomas, Cox, Gilbert, Duffield and ROK barely got 60 and even mr consistent Thomas only scored in the 50's.
Ah the vent thread. Bear with me people...
I'm in a $50 cash league winner takes all $800 on the grand final.
My team has a weekly average of 2112.71 and is 3000 points better than the next best team, who I just met in the grand final. I traded slowly and surely to fill my team with guns, also leaving 4 trades for the last 2 weeks.
My team scores 2200+ in my preliminary final and I'm feeling pretty happy and confident.
Here are the teams before this week:
Me:
Def: Goddard,Hodge,Enright,Carrazo,Fisher,Broughton,Duffield EM: Smith, Sheppard
Mid: Ablett, Swan, Montagna, Selwood, Didak, Bartel EM: Hardingham, Shuey
Rucks: Sandilands, Tippett EM: Warnock, Grimley
Fwd: Chapman, Brown, Goodes, OKeefe, Giansiracusa, Riewoldt,Schneider EM:Roberts, Gourdis.
Ok, teams are named - I lose Brown, Didak, Schneider,Hodge. He loses Didak, Hodge and Mumford.
I trade Brown to Franklin and Schneider to Harvey. Leaving no coverage in the backs and having to play Smith and Shuey. He trades Palmer to Hayes and Higgins to Johnson. I have been weakened, but I'm still confident.
I go to the dockers game on Friday night. I must have run over a black cat on the way to the game. I notice Carrazzo score 15 points in the first 5 minutes, thinking yeeehar here we go. Then he heads to the bench, taunting me, doing runthroughs over and over, looking fine. Nope, into the ****ing tracksuit he goes. Broughton and Duffield score below average but Sandi gets his. Gibbs tears it up for him. ****.
Saturday: **** you Mark Thompson. Mother ****ing ****. I know it is all over with Selwood and Enright out having to play Hardingham and a 0. Add this to Goodes, OKeefe underperforming and Waters and Naitanui tearing it up. I mean for ****s sake. Fisher gets injured ....**** Add to that Gram, Harbrow, Brennan, Martin all smash their averages for him. SHIT. Shit shit.
Sunday I lose 2127 to 1943, his highest and my lowest score for the year.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.
Careful trading left me with 2 trades for the final round.
Traded Hodge to Enright thinking the geelong would smash the eagles.
Long story short I lost by 9 points
And on behalf of my mate who got doubly screwed by trading in Enright for Hodge and Selwood for Didak. Ahhh maybe I can live with mine because I sure can have a laugh if I get him fired up about his
