Rarely does a paper plan at the start begin this well. Who is gonna get all the mop and bucket ball in a team where it will be camped down back all game ? Le Chad amongst a bunch of kids that are gonna head to him all the time.

Being a Carlton supporter, I would have thought you'd have more empathy towards him but apparently DT comes ahead of your own side.

Unlike most teams we have the depth to cover him, so his absence won't affect us as much as it would some other teams if they lost one of their better player.

The only person I feel for with his injury is his missus who will have to look after their triplets on her own without much help from Andrew for the next few months.

Surprisingly I'm doing ok in SC (ranked 12k ATM) even though I spend all of 5 minutes a week on it. I'd swap my SC ranking for my DT ranking in a heartbeat.

Lol at the people who went Martin to Whitecross after just one expected poor score from Martin (79 and 75 against Carlton and Collingwood isn't really unexpected, he only averaged 80 against top 8 sides last year). Learned your lessons about jumping off of players too early yet with Martin on more at half time than Whitecross scored all game?

As for my own vent, playing Morris instead of Ellis because I thought Ellis would be sub. If I'd paid attention to the Friday team announcements I would've seen that Matt White was in, picked him to be the sub and played Ellis in the 22 instead. Then again, Morris is only 6 points down so far (largely due to 3 tackles in a minute from Morris) so maybe it'll work out well.

WHY? That trade makes no sense. You picked Martin knowing he has a difficult early draw. His scores will get MUCH better from Rd6 onwards you would think....

I have posted my justifications several times before, cbf repeating myself.

I think people put too much emphasis on a player's opponent. It is a team game after all.
eg. I read some posts here saying along the lines of "if martin can't score against Melbourne, who will he score against? Might as well trade him", which is nonsensical logic IMO
Even if Whitecross does turn out ok (and there's no doubt Martin is a safer bet because he has runs on the board), it's a waste of a trade

Having Carrazzo would have helped you negate Stanton/Watson so his absence would definitely be missed. I assume AJ or Ellard comes in for him but neither are any way as good as Carrazzo.

Richmond have the toughest draw in the next 5 weeks. Getting rid of Martin IMO was a good idea just not sure Whitecross was the first option. He was 3rd for me but time will tell i still think he can be a very good scorer. He however does have alot of good hawks out and will come under vest concerns.
