My DT Thoughts for the weekend

DEFENCE - Shaw and Grimes both out…. That’s ok, I will have to play Bugg and Ellis which is not the end of the world... Lucky for me Dempsey was named this week… Dempsey late withdrawal… 0 on field

MIDFIELD - They are looking solid, I even have an emergency that should get a good score against the Demons just in case... Coniglio late withdrawal…. that’s OK Clay Smith should dominate the Dees... Smith late WITHDRAWAL… 0 on field!

RUCK - Mummy is named but I am a little wary of him seeing he missed last week... Its not two bad as I still have two other ruckmen named even with Redden being ‘rested’... Stephenson LATE WITHDRAWAL… Another f%*&king 0 on the field!

FORWARDS - Not a problem here with Fyfe being named, I have plenty of backups anyway... Fyfe late withdrawal, it was announced before the lockout so that’s fine. I will just have to play 2 of my 3 rookies... Seeing as though Pfeiffer might be named sub in his first game I will leave him as emergency… Kennedy 42, Smith, 62, Pfeiffer 76…

There is a reason Jack Redden wasn't selected by heaps of DTers..I recall plenty going on about how amazing it was he had so few selections and was a unique etc., well the simple answer is experience. Sure he averaged 109 last year but there were so many players cheaper than him that had delivered more than him for a long period of time.
540k after only 1 good season of DT isn't worth it IMO.

Now I'm not sure whether to keep him as an M6 (and/or in hope that he comes good) or sideways trade him while he's got some currency. "Broughton dilemma" for me all over again.

Having Stanton in my team for most of the preseason but then swapping him out for Watson to save a bit of cash, I think I used it to get Cox into my team. Although I ended up having a fair bit of cash leftover so I could have got Stanton back into my team but for whatever reason didn't do it/remember.

In hindsight I would have initially selected Stanton over Gibbs (same price) and been 170 points & a trade or 2 better off.

Perfect Boyd score, Enough scored for me to win one league match but not too much so my opponent with him captain to overtake me. hmmmm.... should be kudos thread.
