Here is a quote Joseph Gutnick sent to MFC Members this week.

"Much has been said about whether or not I will have the support of the high profile past players. I believe our Club's heroes should remain heroes for all MFC members. They should not be asked to take sides in this board election. Therefore, I have purposely not made approaches to past players."

Interesting considering it has been confirmed he has asked past players Steven Stretch, Matthew Febey and Jim Stynes to join him and they knocked him back.
 
Yeah, it doesn't do much for his credibility, does it? Still, he could have made up his mind while in the middle of chasing past players (ie there could be some others out there he could have asked, but decided not to). It'd be a shame if he was out-and-out lying, though. I like Joe.

Did Joe himself actually ask Febey and Stretch to jump on board..........or, if you do some investigations, did some other prospective members ask the players to join Joe.........TOTALLY DIFFERENT scenario. However, I think you will find in the end, all this was a beat up by the Board, because Melbourne First deny approaching any players at all.....

To me that doesn't make Joe a liar, so I think you should retract your accusation:D :

I did not say he was a LIAR, I said it was interesting. But I will take it further, he LIED about this.
It is not a different scenario if Joe did not ask them. They were still asked to join his ticket when it was stated that his group had not asked anyone.

I haven't gotten the letter yet, nor have i got a letter from the people standing against him, but once i do i will be sure to find my mistakes and point them out to you! :rolleyes:

nah, i dunno why i got a letter and you didn't, but i do know that on my membership card - it says i'm an adult... dunno why but...

Yours is an adult membership and so is mine... only i got red seats as well.

Maybe it got lost in the mail and sent to some poor old lady in Tasmania who didn't know what it was she assumed immidiatly it had Anthrax in it and disposed of it by throwing it in the lake near by her house where there are blood sucking fish...... than again maybe they never sent me one! :D
