Can somebody explain everything to do with anything about the veterans list to me?

Put simply (my understanding, anyway) is that once a player turns 30, they move onto the veterans list and only half of their salary is counted towards the salary cap.

I think the veterans list salary concession also applies to players who have served the club for ten years.

Doesn't the AFL pay half the player's salary once he goes onto the Veteran's list?? Peter Riccardi would be the only one we have at the moment, with Ben Graham not too far away.

No, it is just that only half of his salary counts towards the salary cap, the club has to still pay the full amount.

I believe it's 2 players on the Veteran's list at any one time.
Yep, you're only allowed two at a time.

Hasn't it changed for the start of next season ?
You can have a combination of 6 veterans & rookies. So if you have 3 veterans, you can only have 3 rookies. If you have 4 veterans, you can have 2 rookies.
