My Dad was interested in going to the Port ground to watch Geelong this week as he hadn't been there before, and it looks like a good ground to watch footy. Therefore, if Dad decides to go then I am going and if not we will watch it on the tv.

What a great win by Geelong today in the VFL Preliminary Final against Werribee by 27 points in windy conditions at TEAC Oval.

Werribee had the wind in the first quarter but we managed to hold them to just 2 goals, then kicked 4 goals to 1 in the second quarter to take a 12 point lead into the long break. In the third quarter, we played really well, kicking 5 goals to 3 to set up the match, and although Werribee threw everything at us at the start of the last term, we steadied and ran out 27 point victors.

Our best players were Mensch, Hunt, Chapman, Bartel, Rahilly, McGrath and Grgic.

FINAL SCORE:
Geelong... 12.20.92
Werribee.. 9.11.65

Kelly was rather quiet again,which could be a good thing for next week.He'd be due for a good game.Ablett Jr should return at the expense of Andrew Merriman [very unlucky].Foster was as useless as ever.
