Geerlong won by about 30 points after being very close for most of the game.

Best:N.Ablett, Burn, Blake, West
Goals: Ablett 4, Kingsley 4, Grima 2, Gardiner 3, Varcoe 1

Best for them: Pendlebury, Johnson


Ablett dominated looked a level above. Varcoe looked good but doesn't seem to work hard enough yet. Blake and West both looked very good. In particular I thought West was impressive in how he moved.

Stokes, Prismall & Gamble probably didn't play the greatest games but got plenty of the ball.

Batchelor looked alright for first game back. I think he might be a player to watch next week.

Grima was unluck not to get 3 goals and played well in the time he was on the ground.
