We get another Sunday fixture on round 23 despite being likely top four finisher while essendon and port get Friday night and Carlton Saturday night.

Happy days!

Meh, with the week off before the finals, this is far from the biggest issue I have with the fixturing.

Shafted? That's the absolute best timeslot we could've hoped for.

Gives us a 7 day break after the Melbourne game plus the ability to fly back to Perth straight after the game. Then a week off before (hopefully) a qualifying final.

What annoys me more is how VFL records are included with AFL records (including premierships etc). The AFL should cease to include VFL stats before the start of the AFL. The Brownlow medal should be changed to reflect the best player of the AFL era instead of a VFL player. I could go on...

To be perfectly honest, I completely forgot about the bye. So storm in a teacup is right...

My bad.

Given we play Sunday in Rd.22 and a bye after rd.23. Sunday game is the right outcome.

Calling for a Friday game is a 5 day break from previous round

More of an issue IMO

I saw a stat info graphic the other day that showed how many finals teams had won, obviously going back to the start of time.

More interestingly, would be the stat from the INCEPTION ON THE AFL.

UM national competition

With the week break before finals, its the ideal time to play.

Inception being when the competition was renamed the AFL in 1990?

What then do you do about all our stats/records from the period when we played in the Victorian Football League between 1987 and 1989?
