Give it up. It would be a shizen training venue because it doesn’t have the ground size to replicate the G or other venues
Olympic Park doesn’t have the same dimensions either. It does have better additional facilities however.
Imagine if players had to drive a couple of kilometres afterwards. 😲

I remember going along to watch Collingwood at Victoria Park in the early 80’s. I distinctly remember the clips being taken out of my Kellog’s Junior supporter card. My old man would get there at halftime in the reserves. I had to stand for 6 quarters as a young fella.
I’d kick the footy on the hallowed turf afterwards until dark. They are my happiest footy memories, despite the club still being in the throes of its infamous premiership drought.

I used to stand on the old steel beer cans. The blokes used to hand them over when empty. It used to make you 10 inches taller and I also kicked the ball on the hallowed turf but those days are long gone

Wait, what???

We were told when we opened the Olympic Park oval that it had exactly the same dimensions as the MCG. That was a key requirement.

My brother and I always used to the kick the footy on the ground after a game and we'd wait until the umpires would walk out together from the change rooms across the ground to the turnstiles exit (whilst our Dad listened to the radio on his transistor radio ... and for the kids out there, was called a "trans" back in the day .......and yes, no doubt means something very different nowadays. ROFL) .

Anyway .. my brother would run on the other side of umpires calling for a lead pass, and I run in with a stabbing kick having a deliberate shot at the umpires heads. I never hit any - it would have been totally obvious to them, but at the time we thought we were right cheeky buggers! lol. So funny. I mean, we did this every home game so they probably themselves had a laugh.

Have they unblocked the urinal yet?
I'm hoping not.

I'd like a mass gathering for the unveiling so as many as possible get a final lungful.
