i'm thinking of getting it can i get some reviews

For what console? I got it for the PC and it's very good and very fun. Arcadey but great graphics for my relatively average powered system.

Ive got the PS3 version. Very pretty game although its lacks a bit of meat. Lack of online play hurts it a bit.

Basically If you like virtua tennis 2 you will like virtua tennis 3.

It's very good simple gameplay, but as a bit of a tennis fan I want a bit more depth and realism in terms of gameplay (although it is pretty deep). For example in VT3 it is impossible to hit it out too wide.

Its a mint game, I got it on PS3, but as said it lacks the online option

Im spewing because if I was to go online i got no doubt id be one of the best in the world, i humiliate mates who are really good at topspin which is basically the same game.

Me at Virtua Tennis 3 has got to be seen

Get it, but after you finish it, it becomes a 2 players game strictly

I can give you a review. It's a very fun arcadey game. It's hardly like real tennis as there are hardly any aces and the ball rarely touches the net. Most points are won by winners.

The career mode is unfortunately too easy. Even the final battle is easier than the hardest exhibition mode in arcade. You can't change the difficulty either. This makes a lot of the games tedious as they are sooooo easy. The mini games are very fun and some very tough actually! I'd have liked a few less injuries but meh. The graphics are sweet maxed out but still pleasant on lower end systems. From memory there isn't an online mode and you can't play 2 player with 1 on the keyboard and 1 on the gamepad which sucks!

Thats a pretty good assesment, if I were you I wouldn't get it, the no online makes it tough to keep playing after more than a couple of weeks, and unless you will be playing alot with your mates then don't get it.

Wait for Top Spin 3 which is due out next year, it is coming to all consoles this time around and also will have Online and a very in depth player creater.

the things i want most from a tennis game a plenty of real players good graphics and realistic gameplay. I HATE when random players r made up i'd love more real life players

Unfortunately with tennis that's impossible. Can anyone who has played both tell me whether Top Spin is more realistic than VT?

I haven't played Top Spin but it is meant to be I think. Virtua Tennis has always been an arcade game. That's why you find it at...arcades

Only played Top Spin once on a mate's xbox and it seemed to be more realistic than VT. Very similar style but it feels like you have to put more effort and concentration in.

Top Spin is more realistic in that it is not as arcadey (easy to pick up and play) as Virtua Tennis. I can't comment 100% on how 'tennis' realistic it is, as i have not played 'professionally' (but do enjoy a casual hit) and am more of an armchair critic.

Virtua Tennis is good fun, i was hooked on Virtua Tennis 2, played it for the first time at an arcade a few years ago... liked it so much i purchased the ps2 version straight after playing it

Top Spin is more mechanical, you have to be better all round in everything from serving, volleying, lobbing... if you're to progress in single player and online.

Virtua Tennis 3 is good for a bash around, i purchased it when it first came out on the 360. It's not a bad game, but i do prefer Top Spin 2 over it.


Top Spin 3 is coming out next year, so i can't wait for that.

On ps3 it is really fun, especially multiplayer.

Annoying thing is that you play Rodger Federer in dodgy tournaments when you are ranked 300 or something.

Smash Cout Pro Tournament 2 was good coz they made up 299 opponents
