Visiting Sydney

Just a couple queries I have.. heading to Sydney tomorrow for a couple days and going to the game...

Wondering whats the best way to get from the city part to Randwick where I'm staying.. And any tips for someone who hasn't been there before, Ill obviously see this Bridge you've got going there and that other funny shaped building..

Bus is your only option for public transport. No trains to R'wick or surrounds.

As for things to do, I'll leave that to somebody younger.

Bus will take ya straight to circular quay... best option is to take the Sydney Explorer.. will take ya round to all the spots...

Do you know where in Randwick you are staying?

It probably one of the harder suburbs to navigate to because

i) it is big compared to most other suburbs
ii) it tends not to be a final destination for buses, rather lots of buses go through there on their way to other places
iii) those buses passing through take a variety of routes. So it's not as easy as just saying "get any bus headed for Coogee" since that could land you in a variety of spots.
iv) those buses also take a variety of routes through the city centre. Even though they pretty much all start at Circular Quay, there are probably 3 different bus stops scattered around there from which they might leave.

It's by no means a hard suburb to get to. Lots of buses will take you there. But it is hard to help you more specifically without knowing where in Randwick you need to get to.

Randwick Boys High has a unicorn or a Pegasus or some shit as their school emblem.

Havent lived there in years,but bus option is good.If it was me i'd catch a train to Bondi Junction.Above the station is the bus interchange,where you can catch a bus to all locations in randwick.

From Central Station catch a bus with one of the following numbers

372, 373, 374, 376

All go past SCG, through Randwick and then onto Coogee.

Living in Melbourne now I bloody miss the whole area and being so close to the SCG was sensational.
