MVP Votes Round 10 v Hawthorn

Was huge at the clearances all day. He also impacted a significant amount of marking contests as well.
He's like the reverse McGovern. He doesn't bank on marking at every contest so instead attempts to tap the ball to a crumber's advantage. As such Nic is rarely outmarked and our long kicks down the line actually pay off with him in the vicinity.
I simply don't think it's accurate to say he had a one quarter effort today.

Huge is probably a reach

He was serviceable - but not super influential aside from the 4th.

He's a burst player - given he plays limited minutes - when he is on, to justify that he needs to have influence.

Today he was solid at best IMO.

Reduced gametime makes it hard to give him more votes.
I still think Nic was very good, just as he has been in reduced gametime in most games this year. I’m still astounded how much he can influence almost every contest he even gets near. The point is how much everyone else is stepping up to leapfrog him in my votes. And that is almost a little arousing to me.

5. Andrew Gaff (Running machine. Great game)
4. Brad Sheppard (AA form)
3. Nic Naitanui (Should reach peak fitness in the second half of the year, watch out!)
2. Willie Rioli (Along with Liam Ryan are our x-factors we need to win finals)
1. Elliot Yeo (Gun)

5: Andrew Gaff
4: Brad Sheppard
3: Elliot Yeo
2: Willie Rioli
1: Jack Redden

Think Rioli's performance is a little underrated on here! His ball use is elite.

I don't think we've had another game this year where literally everyone agreed on BOG.
