May I ask Beats how Martin got a vote, let alone 3? I'm not tryin to get into you but I thought that he was disgusting tonight. He was smashed by Monfries (silly matchup), did little in the ruck and was a liability whenever he got the ball.

I could ask you how Johnson got a vote, he did some nice things sure, but he was convincingly beaten by Ryder and he did some putrid things which directly resulted in Essendon goals.

It might have just been my view from where I was sitting(on the 50 in the middle of the Essendon cheer squad -.-') but I thought Martin did a serviceable job playing on much smaller opponents, and of their touches, most of them were lace out passes which no-one could have stopped.
I also think he did a decent job in the ruck with a few nice taps and he provided as good a target as anyone else playing in the forwardline while he was there.
If that's not justification enough he was wearing the ugliest shoes I have ever seen(looked like grey/brown loafers).

3 - Davey (my stepdad is a one-eyed eagles supporter and he only watched this one melbourne game due to the story behind jurrah's debut....and he was super impressed with davey....in his words "his skills are sublime, what a gun player"...when he kicked the ball out from full back, he hit a target every single time and many of those kick-ins were 60m passes onto a blokes chest!!! also he set up some amazing plays, he is all class and if he was playing for any other club, he would be an all-australian player!!)

2 - sylivia (did some very impressive thinga and his improvement is amazing)

2 - jurrah (what a GUN!!! his skills are awesome, he does some amazing stuff....cannot wait til he can last a game without disappearing coz then he will be somethin special)

2 - martin (the fact he had to play in the ruck when he isnt a ruckman was out of his control...but he did what he was needed to do with dignity and respect for his club and teammates!! He was forced to also play back pocket on monfries who is a runt and this was bailey's stupidity....but i thought that martin did a fair job and tried his best to limit the impact from monfries!! martin would have been great for lloyd?? i think so for sure!! lastly, he went forward and was terrific, gave us a mobile target and converted...he might be an interesting forward option)

2 - grimes (showed some real midfield potential i was doubting whether he had it in him to be a midfielder, but he did some nice inside work as well as being a polished finisher all night!! how the hell he hasnt got a rising star nomination yet is a disgrace!! that running goal was a spectacle, amazing stuff!!)
