I like our new forward setup. :)

5. Embley - best runner we had, was an impossible match up for the Crows.
4. Cox - worked hard around the ground. Took a superb defensive mark in the 3rd Q
3. Kerr - best of the "fab four". Ran hard and went in hard as always. Excellent early.
2. Hansen - provided a strong forward target after early jitters
1. Carroll - did well as third tall and held some important marks

Unlucky:
Judd - started slow, but was excellent,
Butler - strong game for a youngster
Glass - another strong game at full back
Matera - crumbed well and good answer to last week's fiasco
McDougall - continued his improvement and held a few marks
R. Jones - looked OK in his return game.
Chambers - well it was at Subiaco, so we'd expect a good game.

5.Kerr- Very gutsy effort
4. Embley- ran hard, marked well, linked our play together, geez I hope he's okay.
3. Glass- Very strong in defence, marked well.
2. McDougall- Hard working, extremely impressive all round. The forward we need.
1. Judd- Juddish.

Hansen and Braun both deserve votes.

5 - Kerr
4 - Embley
3 - Doogs
2 - Judd

Great game by the boys, a little slack in the last and skills were off at times but they tired hard most of the night. We failed to capitalise in 2nd and 3rd quarters with some average shots at goal, but our best at the start of the 2nd half was great! Young guys were sensational with Doogs going hard at the contest, taking marks and giving 2nd efforts. Hansen showed a lot - droppped some mark early but improved over the night and kicked very well. Butler was great again and shows alot of poise under pressure. Nicoski and BJones have great endeavour - Nico seems to have only 2 types of kicks - beautiful or shocking! :D He really shanked a few!

Overall - great to have a win, and on to another test away next week. Praying that Embers will be ok, cos if he is out it severely dents our chances!

5 - Embley - had a ton of the ball and used it well, took 7 marks too. Constantly ran hard to create space and get the ball. Worked tirelessly, horrified at life without him aswell as Gardy now.

4 - Kerr - was dyamite in the first quarter, then got injured in what looked fairly serious, but he come back on and kicks a great goal. The kid is a superstar and is overshadowed by Cuz and Judd but certainly there equal.

3 - McDougall - he is getting better and better and better! He is actually becoming very physical, hitting packs hard and laying sheperds and bumps. He took 8 marks and kicked 2 goals. His best game so far this season.

2 - Cox - he dominated the ruck but it was also his around the ground work. He is always working for the team, going back to fill in the hole in defence or going forward to provide a target. He took 7 marks in another impressive outing for the bigman.

1 - Judd - was real quiet early but you couldnt shackle him for long. It was Juddamania in the 3rd as he kicked 2 quick goal and ended the game with 20 touches. Dont have the stats but he must have had a ton of clearances too...

Unlucky ...

Hansen - kicked 4 goals! Only his second game.
Matera - unusual for Phil that he didnt kick straight, still got 3 but could have had 5 or 6 very easily.
Wirrpunda - working his way back into it, confidence is returning.
Chambers - on fire early, cooled off.
Glass - cleaned up Carey.
Carroll - bloody good in defence, took some great grabs and backed himself!

A note on Cousins, they said he was in a tracksuit not long before bouncedown and there were doubts whether he would play? But play he did like a captain should. Just his presense out there gives the boys confidence and relieves Judd or Kerr of the main tagger.
