Very hard to find many vote-worthy performances today really..

Rance was very solid I thought.. Looked quite comfortable and his disposal wasn't bad at all.

Cousins was ok through the middle, thought he got put under the pump due to some shoddy handballs..

Farmer and Astbury were reasonably steady but on the whole was a weak display...

I didn't think Morton did much at all.

Didn't look at his numbers before giving votes so was presently surprised to see he had:
25 possessions(team high) 84% eff 11 marks(equal game high) 1 tackle 2 clearances 1 clanger 9 contested possessions(team high) 5 inside 50's.

As I mentioned in the review thread he looked to play the role Hardwick wants him to play quite well. Got back into D50 and provided support, found space on the wing to provide an option and pushed forward on occassion.

I dunno what Riewoldt was supposed to do under the circumstances....was on a hiding to nothing ...the assessments of Newman & Tuck weren't far off though.....anyway:

3 - Cousins...our best by the proverbial country mile..god I hope he stays for one more..looked like just Cousins v Collingwood at times
2 - Rance - was very good considering....people knocking him are just stuck in entrenched opinions
1 - Webberly - very solid....didn't win many , but didn't lose many either, had alot coming at his part of the ground all day.

Hons: King was good today, Nason tried his guts out with little support, his disposal is "enigmatic", but not as poor as some would have you believe and still an upgrade on many, Morton worked harder than he ever has.


Worst - too many to single out.....it was as much a case of how good Collingwood were...disappointing the way we wilted so easily , but not entirely unexpected, been a long season for a bunch of kids and some older players who've been carrying the load.

Well said Mario,
A lot of kids with one or two pre-seasons under their belt. After round 9 who wouldn't have been happy with at least 5 wins, considering all were calling us the worst team since Fitzroy and probably won't win a game for the year. Yeah we want to be competitive every week, but that will come with time.
