I kinda feel like watching the movie Groundhog Day tonight - whether I watch that or the footy, it'll be a case of, "I've seen all this many times over."

There's a big, big sound from the west of the town, it's the sound of another greyhound being shot thanks to people like Hinkley.

I just assumed the massive rumbling was the trucks bringing the pallets of coke hinkley to the oval

Port win?: Pressure’s off and expectations are low. Perfect conditions for a good performance.

GWS win?: Night game at AO. Perfect conditions for an ‘upset’.

Prediction: Port by 28. More media praise heaped on Kenny for guiding a preseason premiership fancy to home wins against non-premiership fancies.

Home game against the Giants with the season practically dead, just like 2015.

This time around there's less feeling that this was simply a down year and that we'll easily bounce back with Hinkley in charge.
Also, no Johnny Butcher.

That Ah Chee handball that led to the last goal of the first half :hearts:

So it would appear that we play GWS at home, at the end of the season, a lot.

I legitimately don't remember anything about these games.
Just a giant mish-mash of Hinkley era mediocrity.

Good luck tonight. Think you guys win comfortably.
Cheers. We don't do "comfortably" but I do think we'll win. It'll be opened up in one quarter and then shut down, grinding out a 2-3 goal win.

We are light on down back. Your best chance is off the fast rebound, exposing our lack of speed and excessive two way running.

Who’s missing down back?

And you may mysteriously have a 'slight' advantage in the ruck

Matt White chased down Rhys Palmer after giving him about a 20 metre start to deny him an open goal when Palmer stuffed up the ball bounce. That sticks in the mind. Great effort and one of the last PAFC games I’ve attended. (The last being the 2017 final which confirmed my belief that Hinkley had run his race).

Two thousand and ****ing seventeen.

Who’s missing down back?
Not missing per se, but Clurey is straight back in off a long absence and I think generally we are too slow. We are usually forced to use Aliir as a 1:1 defender which doesn't work.

You'll see Marshall, Farrell and Dixon playing a fair part of their game in the back half.
