A day where we could have really stomped and desecrated the carcass of Melbourne, we gave them breathing room and space to near dominate us. A good side would have put Melbourne to the sword and absolutely destroy the living crap out of them yet we were lazy and wasteful.

It's gonna be like a loss on here but I'm happy. Melbourne played as good as they have all year. We outclassed them in the end but all in all it was a scrappy game and our poor goalkicking prevented a blowout.

I am surprised at just how negative most of you lot are. Did we play well today? No we didn't. But even the best teams have the occasional poor game. It's just fortunate we did it against a club like Melbourne. There were positives out of the match such as the performances from young stars like Vlastuin and Ellis. He gets bagged a lot on here but Vickery also stood up today, it's just a shame he couldn't convert all of his chances in front of goals.

The people complaining that we chipped it around the backline for the last 10 minutes are the same people who complain when we cant close out a game. Despite it being Melbourne and the game lacking the spice that a close game would bring, it is still much better to practice this infront of a crowd then what it is in training.

As for the game only saw the last 15 minutes and in that time Jackson and Grigg frustrated the **** out of me, surely when we get a few more players back they go back to coburg. That is if we do have players to come back.

Was annoying we didn't really put them away. The chipping around with 10 minutes to go is not on. One bloke had it on the wing and Edwards was screaming for it in space by himself and he didn't even turn around to look just went backwards and Grigg eventually turned it over for a goal.

Vlaustin was massive.

Ellis massive

Morris....massive

Overall was a worrying performance.

Drop Nahas for Newman. Only 7 touches and 2 tackles in a game where we dominated inside 50's is not good enough workrate when you are playing for your career.

Another wasteful performance, with shitness skills.
Another game with pretenders for leaders.
Another diabolical game by Rance.
Umpires were awful, we are on a treadmill and were playing better football last year.
Credit to Vlastuin, Ellis, Chaplin, Morris and White for his cameo.

Im really happy for vas and ellis. I think Cotchin is well down on his last years form. I was satisfied with Martin and Deledios game though. Nahas and Stephensons to be dropped. Wish Knights wasnt gone for the season. So much better than Nahas. Petterd and Maric to come in.

Melbourne were dropping there heads and stopped running. There is a time and a place for that sort of shut down and this wasn't it. Not even looking forward is he wrong way to go.

That was Melbourne's best game for the year, they laid 68 tackles. We were average and they were as good as they are going to be this year.

Deledio and Cotchin have been well below their best this year which is the most disappointing thing for me. If they were playing like last year with guys like Edwards, Ellis, Vlas, Jackson, Mcguane ect... playing as well as they ever have we would be looking a lot better.

Vlastuin and Ellis were amazing. Vickery also had a really good game too bad he couldnt kick straight.

Rance has gone backwards at a rate of knots this year and Grigg has been poor as well both need to go back to coburg.
