What do people think our chances are against Melbourne Saturday night.

Maxfield, Williams and Ball is a huge loss of experience and after playing a lot of lacklustre football against the crows last week I am doubtful we can beat Melbourne.

Hopeful but doubtful.

Interestingly all the panellists on the footy show tipped Melbourne and all the panellists on the Fox show (forgotten it's name sorry) Tipped Sydney.

I think if we are going to win we may need to re jig a bit and get Ben Mathews attacking the ball more in the half back line a bit more.

I think we have a pretty good chance of winning.
It's a new round and we would've learnt from last weeks poor performance. I'm sure they'll be out to redeem themselves after last week so i expect alot more commitment and less skill errors.

It was a bugger to see us go down by 34 points. Our problem at the moment is that we are lacking experienced tall timber around the ground, hence why we struggled down back tonight.

Anyone want to elaborate ?

In the final quarter i was expecting 2003 all over again how u over ran us. I think it was more to do with how our (demons) backline played. Robbos sceamer was the match winner. I admit u guys were a bit stiff to go down tonight.

Agree with you there, Robbo's screamer was the match winner but may not win mark of the year have to say what else happens during the yea with the other highflyers in the AFL.

We made basic skill errors in the forward line and too much bloody handpassing in the backline. To make matters worse we laid down and died when Melbourne put two goals on us in the last quarter.
Even with that effort it was still dissappointing to see Sydney fans clap the team off. Those people should be ashamed. I would never clap my team off if they played like they have played in the last two weeks. i wouldn't boo them either but just stand in silence so the players can get it through their thick ego-filled heads that we (the fans) are not happy with their performances

Just made it back home from good old Sydney. benny_w I definitely did not clap them off.

Saturday night we were woeful. Our use of the football was appalling, both when shooting at goal, trying to pass into our forward line and when we did we dropped too many marks that were in front of opponents.

Also we were out thought. we did not have an answer for Melbourne’s loose men in defence. It will be good to have the skipper back but against the Eagles in Perth....(I must be a pessimist).

This season is falling away fast, I hope we can pick it up.

Did you hear the people yelling when the last post was playing ?

yeah mate I was up there those bastards my grandpa spent an amount of time in the war and that just ********ed me off so now not only was I angry at the fact that the demons beat us but also because of them guys who wouldn't shut up!!!!
