Watched the first half and was reasonably impressed with the game.

Paxman was my pick of what I saw. Moves well and makes excellent decisions. Pendlebury style.

Kearney for the MUGARS was also fantastic. Patrolled the backline and kept things under control when the heat was on.

Not sure on all the girls ages, but there seemed to be some quality young players for both sides, but particularly Melbourne Uni.

A few teenagers playing. Deana Berry for MU might even be to young to be drafted this year, she played the national U18s earlier this year. She is already a better 2 sided player than most.

On the radio call we had Emma Kearney with 37 disposals!

You don't happen to have the teams from the curtain-raiser do you?

Its basically the same thing, just rebranded
My understanding was it was now run out of the VFL, with the VWFL remaining run under a different admin (although still under the broader VFL). So differences will accumulate as the VFL tries to set it up in a semi pro fashion (even if they remain unpaid), while the VWFL reamains basically suburban footy.
