Bit of an update on Perth here. New recruits in addition to the AFL allocated boys are: Rob DeJongh (ex EP, SANFL ruckman), Frank Agostino (ex EP making a comeback after knee ops), Nick Kane (ex EP), Julian Jacobs (ex Subi), Aaron Zucconi (returns), Seamus Young (returns)

OK, so 2 corrections so far to the off season.

Wes Lammie lined up in Swans Intra Club match and Tom Howlett lands at Shark Park, both were supposedly destined for Peel. Evidently, 1 of them turned up to Peel's training and said, this is a joke and didn't go back....

LOL.:D

Not surprised what so ever, I have to assume that was Howlett can't imagine Wes saying that unless it really was Ammos F standard stuff.

Seriously dude enough of the constant Peel bashing, it's pretty lame. Tom Howlett underestimated how much of a factor travelling from Perth was (have you seen the freeway in the afternoon?) and Wes Lammie fielded offers from Peel and Perth, and after considering both, decided to remain a Swans player. Peel are quite obviously not travelling the best nor have they had success but I don't think the current players/coaches/board are to blame. With new facilities that will be the envy of many other clubs and a youth based approach to their team, sure there will be some pain in the short term, but no doubt it will offer some long term benefit. I'll be buying my membership this year and look forward to how they progress throughout the coming years.

Peel Football Club, is without doubt, the worst run club in the WAFL and have been for a long time.

It's embarassing.

I find this to be quite funny as I know it is true. It is Ok to do this from time to time when the club has a win in a semi-professional competition but not when you get smashed by 100+ points. (getting shitfaced):D

Bbay it is not as if I hate the club and do regular peel bashing for the fun of it; it is just that after a long duration in the competition everyone has become tired of the club not growing, not achieving and well last season was the final straw no one though the club could ever achieve the results they did last year. But in saying that they still avioded the wooden spoon which would be a huge surprise to interstate based viewers.

They need wins and I give the club credit when due. I am sure many WAFL supporter's would agree with what I have said here. For those who don't understand they are the GWS team of the WAFL and the players are not in that 19 - 20 year old bracket.

Wes was presumably chased by Peel on the basis they saw a role for him in their league team, however, he has decided to stay at Swans behind Spaanderman, Adams and Notte in terms of ruck options.

It's a weird decision...

Not sure about that. I hate to say it but my club, the club that somehow managed to finish below Peel last year would have to challenge Peel as the worst run club in the WAFL. It took them about 4 months to find a colts coach after the first one they chose later turned it down and they couldn't manage to convince one of the other applicants to take it, then stumbled around for about 2 months trying to find someone suitably qualified who was interested.

Finally one has been appointed but we are still waiting for the announcement. A bunch of amateurs are running that joint i can tell you. I don't think even Peel could make such a mess of finding a colts coach.

Swannies my post doesn't even make sense now that you have edited it. Really can not see why it was edited as Peel thinder do enjoy let say the "football lifestyle" even after 194 point losses.:D

Thought there were some potentially libellous comments by G G in there and whilst your response was good I was loathe to leave those other comments there. It could have been put in a less abrasive manner and got the point across, if you know what I mean. :)

Yes, yes I do.

At least I know there are some moderators out there who can give an explicit response when asked.:thumbsu:

Any Claremont fan (or a big WAFL fan) can you give us a summary of what we acquired in the off season and who looks to be a good signing.

Saw the Swans off season recruitments, they did pretty damn well. Not sure if any of them will have the Krakouer impact (or at least right away) but some pretty decent ex afl players that I think Freo had some interest in.

Any ex or current WAFL players interested in making some money playing country footy, PM me.

If anyone knows of anyone interested lat me know, cheers!!

You'll need some quality in amongst the B graders you've recruited from the SWFL. No disrespect to the likes of Paul Jones, Josh Topliss and Tyson Stockwell. But those guys are 2nd tier players at their SW clubs at best.
