Preliminary Final weekend didn't throw up too many curve balls with the majority of tipsters getting two correct for the round. Spanna_ was the standout, tipping all three games correctly, the other tipper to do so this week. Monocle picked up the bonus point for the round also, being only two points off the margin for the League match to take his tally for the weekend to three points.

Just one week of tipping left now and Monocle's score of three points has boosted him into the lead on 75 points. In second place is gaskin who is now one point behind on 74 points while Spanna rounds out the top three on 73 points. In fourth place is myself on 69 points while Freezin stays in the top five with 68 points.


Finals Week Four Fixtures

League: Subiaco vs Peel Thunder at Subiaco Oval (2:30pm, margin)
Reserves: East Perth vs Claremont at Subiaco Oval (11:40am)
Colts: Claremont vs East Perth at Subiaco Oval (8:40am)


Well it's Grand Final week and we see all games shift to Subiaco Oval on Sunday for what is always an exciting day in the WAFL calendar. The League match sees Subiaco clash with Peel Thunder, the Reserves has East Perth against Claremont and the Colts has a similar flavour as the Reserves match with Claremont taking on East Perth.

No doubt we'll see three great encounters on what is the last day of WAFL action until next season. From a weather perspective though things aren't looking as flash at this stage with a shower or two expected during the day, hopefully the rain will stay away so we can have a great game in all three grades on Sunday. Well Season 2016 is over and the Grand Finals have been run and won. All three Grand Finals were pretty entertaining in the end in what turned out to be a good day weather wise. Peel Thunder won the League premiership while Claremont triumphed in both the Reserves and the Colts.

No-one tipped all three games correctly but there were a number who picked up two with Kram getting the bonus point to finish with three points for the round.

With the season over we have a winner and this year it is Monocle. Monocle had a strong second half of the season and came home with a wet sail, finishing the year with 77 points, winning by two. Congratulations to Monocle who is this year's winner of the BigFooty WAFL tipping competition and wins a year's Plantinum subscription to BigFooty. Like Monocle, Spanna_ finished the season strongly and has taken second place this season, coming in two behind Monocle on 75 points and wins a year's Gold subscription to BigFooty for his efforts this year. All this thanks to Chief and the team here at BigFooty.

In the minor placings, gaskin took out third place with a score of 74 points while fourth place was a three way tie with Freezin, Kram and myself all finishing on 70 points overall.

Well that concludes the BigFooty WAFL tipping competition for 2016. Thanks to everyone who participated this season and I hope everyone has had some fun tipping each week in the WAFL. Hopefully we'll be back, bigger and better next year for the competition in 2017. Stick around the boards as we'll be getting our off-season news, player movements and chat thread going in a few weeks time.
