Round 18 proved to be pretty straightforward for most pundits on the weekend with a perfect score of three achieved by a number of tipsters. However it was gaskin who went one better, getting the bonus point to take his tally to four for the round.

The leaderboard sees waflfootyfacts in the lead on 60 points with myself sitting second on 56 points while FiveStrings is joined by gaskin in a tie for third place on 54 points. In a tie for fifth position we have Monocle and swannies sitting on a total of 51 points.

Round 19 Fixtures

East Fremantle vs Subiaco at East Fremantle Oval (2:15pm)
Swan Districts vs Peel Thunder at Steel Blue Oval (2:15pm)
South Fremantle vs West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm)
Claremont vs East Perth at Claremont Oval (3:10pm, margin)
Bye: Perth

Round 19 is upon us and we head into this round with a full allotment of fixtures and with each game taking place on Saturday again. East Fremantle are back at Shark Park to host Subiaco in the first game of the round, Swan Districts are fresh off the bye and will battle Peel Thunder at Bassendean while South Fremantle are back from their road trip last weekend and head home to face West Perth at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. The TV game is back this week and Saturday's telecast game will see Claremont locking horns with East Perth at the later time of 3:10pm with coverage getting underway at 3pm on Channel Seven and Seven HD, following on from the AFL coverage earlier in the day. The match is sure to be a cracker with a loss for either side making finals football extremely difficult to achieve. The telecast game also clashes with the night AFL telecast that evening on 7mate, bouncedown for that match is at 5:25pm.

There's not much change in the Colts and Reserves with each of those games starting at 9am and 11:30am respectively. The Claremont vs East Perth matches will start 55 minutes later however with the Colts beginning at 9:55am and the Reserves at 12:25pm.

The weather is again not looking fantastic but things did hold off for most of the day last Saturday. A shower or two is predicted at this stage with 17 degrees and there's only 2mm of rain at most forecast at the present time.

There's some pivotal games this week with a number of teams jostling for position inside the top five while others are simply hoping to win to stay in contention, hopefully we'll see some good contests on the weekend as the race for the top five hots up. Happy tipping!!

Round 19 was a moderately tricky round with one or two games tripping up most tipsters on the weekend. swannies and Keys bucked the trend though, taking a few risks which paid off to net them a perfect score of four for the round. samFFC scored the bonus point this week to also take his tally for the weekend to four.

With 19 rounds completed it's waflfootyfacts in the lead on 73 points, myself second with 58 points while FiveStrings and gaskin are tied for third place on 56 points. Rounding out the top five is swannies who is one point further back on 55 points.

Round 20 Fixtures

Perth vs Claremont at Lathlain Park (2:15pm)
South Fremantle vs East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval (2:15pm)
Subiaco vs Swan Districts at Leederville Oval (2:15pm)
West Perth vs East Perth at HBF Arena (2:40pm, margin)
Bye: Peel Thunder

The season moves onto Round 20 now with another full allotment of games on Saturday afternoon. The first fixture of Round 20 sees Perth back home at Lathlain Park after the bye last week to host Claremont while the traditional Fremantle derby has its third instalment of the season with South Fremantle to battle East Fremantle at Fremantle Community Bank Oval. Subiaco find themselves at Leederville Oval to play their first home game in three weeks, this time against Swan Districts in what promises to be a fairly entertaining encounter. The TV game this week is the Perth derby with West Perth hosting East Perth at HBF Arena in Joondalup. The match has big implications on the top five with West Perth clinging to fifth position currently while East Perth sit sixth and victory would propel them into fifth place. You can catch the game on 7mate from 2:30pm and that game leads into 7mate's AFL coverage in the evening.

In the other grades, it's business as usual with the Colts starting at 9am and the Reserves at 11:30am. For the West Perth vs East Perth fixture though, the Colts get a little sleep in with bouncedown at 9:25am while the Reserves also have a later start at 11:55am.

After some wet weekends of late, the weather isn't looking too bad for Saturday at this stage with a possible shower and 18 degrees expected. Any rainfall should 0.4mm at most so it won't be too wet if we do get any rain that day at all.

A big weekend this week with several games that will help shape the top five as we enter the final few rounds of the season. Hopefully we'll see four great contests on the weekend as the business end of the season approaches. Happy tipping!!
