If you believe the Ukrainian negotiators, the last instance quoted Russian history to them, how long do you have?

I asked the question to point out how unrealistic russia’s demands are.
Putin has demanded that Ukrainian troops withdraw from the Donbas region even before the Kremlin will enter into proper negotiations. Even if Ukraine did withdraw from 20 percent of Donetsk that they control there is still no guarentees.

Why should it be Putin’s decision who comes to Ukraine – “it’s up to the Ukrainians".

I wonder if the plan is to cut most of the supply lines into Huliaipole. If they can cut the roads from the North & South where they are making ground it leaves just one main road leading straight out which they can just flood with drones.

Yep. Unrealistic demands for an aggressor on their knees is laughable. It isn't negotiating anything.

The majority of this is due to Starlink being shutdown across the Russian lines so they have been down on communications and the Ukrainians have taken advantage of the chaos generated by this and advanced forward.

Problem is Ukraine don’t have the necessary heavy weaponry to really collapse the Russian lines (thanks US and Europe), so have to do as best as they can until Russia overcome the communication breakdown.

Asking Ukrainian troops to withdraw from the Donbas region is liking russia troops to withdraw from moscow.
The Donbas is part of of Ukraine, not russia.
The first thing that Ukraine should be asking before negotiations start is for russian, north korean and chinese troops to withdraw for Ukrainian territory. That should be the starting point.
