Pretty quiet on the oreshnik hit in Lviv. Gas storage blown up turning the sky pink, not good stuff
There have been a lot of diversionary topics arising recently here of late, and very little mention of either the Russian strikes on Ukrainian territory or Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory - not to mention "frontline" (these days, sic) events.

Russian Oreshnik strike on Lviv:
Some RF information claims this was not a gas infrastructure but an unmanned systems (meaning drones) base (meaning either supply or control). But mostly it's reported to be a gas plant. Other locations were also struck the same night including Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk.

Kupyansk: Russian cells still remain within Kupyansk though are small and are probably not receiving supplies. A further attempt to invade Kupyansk did not succeed.

Huliapole: Was over-run by RF including reported exposure of Ukrainian military data left behind. Followed by more than one Ukrainian attempt to retake Huliapole which as far as I could tell seems to have resulted in currently the town now being "contested".

Vovchansk: RF attempted again to move forward in Vovchansk (I can't remember how the town is spelled) however news on this salient has dried up suggesting maybe it's not moving.

Lyman: In danger from RF attempts to advance but still under Ukrainian control.

Siversk: I believe it's pretty much under RF control.

Dobropilia: Multiple RF attempts to move this direction again seem not to have resulted in any success.

Pokrovsk/Myrnohrad: Both towns have heavy RF placements but neither are under control. The area south of Myrnohrad was vacated by Ukrainian troops. Rodinske in the same readion seems to be another grey area.

Almost all these regions no longer have a "frontline" in reality due to drone-based exchanges rather than forward positions. Its more like a Venn Diagram nowadays with fire control versions of frontlines which overlap each other (ie the RF fire control frontline is on the Ukrainian side of the Ukrianian fire control frontline (and vice versa).

Both military and oil or gas facilities in Russia continue to be struck every couple of days. Belgorod suffered a massive power outage around the same time as the Lviv strike. In Ukraine, Krivy Rih, Kramatorsk and Kharkiv have suffered recent strikes.

I encounter these reports every day but mostly here discussion seems to follow the politically connected topics so I tend not to post those reports.

Fair take. I do appreciate the general reports

Menzies type areas, before he gave up the job at least

Ukraine is within its rights to demand denazification of Russia in exchange for security guarantees on Putin's palatial residences and / or oil industry.

Nothing demonstrates the levels of delusion in Moscow more than this:

Putin thought that Ukrainians wanted to live under his rule and were all a bunch of vatniks.

This is possibly the biggest miscalculation in history and couldn't be any further from the truth

Vovchansk: RF attempted again to move forward in Vovchansk (I can't remember how the town is spelled) however news on this salient has dried up suggesting maybe it's not moving.
Report noted today suggests the push at Vovchansk has been curtailed and the (or some of the) RF forces there have been relocated to Chasiv Yar.

Looks like the Khamenei dictatorship may fall in Iran.

If it does there goes another strategic ally as a supplier of military hardware to Russia.

That would be Assad, Maduro & Khamenei all lost to Russia.

At this stage Pedo Putin is surely better off securing Belarus & Nth Korea as allies instead of attempting to expand his empire in Ukraine.

Let's not forget Bolsonaro too.

Russia now having to cut oil production, can't move it due to sanctions, crack down on shadow fleet tankers and 3rd party sanctions on states that were buying cheap Russian oil:

A desperate attempt to stop oil being sold at a loss.

Yet more winning due to the Ukraine invasion.

Gazprom losing money:

China pivot had failed. Can't deliver the supply levels that were previously being exported to Europe & Xi is exploiting Putin by taking gas only at a knock down price.

Much like in the way drug addicts sell their possessions on the cheap to get their next hit. This is what Russia has become and Pedo Putin is to blame.

"I don't need a ride, I need ammunition"
While a classic quote that appeals to action movie fans, there's very little evidence he actually said that.

It came out of the Ukrainian embassy in London, just tweets. Also some of this stuff gets mixed in with his TV show pre election

Georgia seizes shadow fleet tanker:

Nobody is afraid of Putin these days.

https://1tv.ge/lang/en/news/panamanian-flagged-tanker-detained-for-violating-navigation-rules/
The Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) detained a Panamanian-flagged tanker CAMINERO for violating navigation rules in Georgian territorial waters.

According to the Border Police, after paying a fine, the ship was allowed to sail freely.

“Officers of the Border Police Operative-Investigation Division initiated proceedings against the tanker captain, who is a citizen of Turkiye, on the basis of violation of navigation rules, under Subparagraph “e” of Part 1 of Article 114, Part 1 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Georgia.

The captain was imposed a GEL 15,000 fine to be paid in favor of the state budget. After paying a fine, the ship was allowed to sail freely,” the Border Police said in its statement.

How about "Russian warship go **** yourself" to the Moskva?

At least it did what it was told to do by the Ukrainians...

There's a recording of that which appears legit, so nah it's different.

The soldiers on Snake Island appear to have been captured or killed depending on who you believe, at least some appear to be part of a prisoner swap.

But yeh the Moskva got rolled a few months later if that's your big win. Ukraine sunk the 70's built flagship, good effort tbh

Turks report rescuing 54 sailors. So roughly 400 dead Ruskies from that

You show me evidence that he didn't say it.

This video shows that he is in Ukraine during the invasion and not on some plane headed for England.

I can't disprove a negative. There's just not recording/footage of him actually saying that.

If you can find it then I'll concede

Yeh and the words aren't said, here or in similar videos from the time.

The spirit of it is conveyed but it's a historical rewrite for action movie fans. Another PR move from Ukraine/her backers

He might mention it when he’s writing his memoir at some resort in Crimea at the end of the war.

Crimea beach party 2023 right?

This one was said. It's a NAFO thing though, backed by a proto-fascist Canadian merch outlet lol

But yeh you can just admit you can't find it. Trust me I've looked hard for this one, the only source is a tweet from the Ukrainian embassy in London.

I'll repeat, cool quote but doubtful it was ever said at the time. Became a rallying cry.

Not a weird thing really, misquotes and made up stuff happens all the time and carry on through history if they fit the situation
