As a huge fan of the Warcraft series I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Part of me wishes that Blizzard just made a full length CGI movie as their CGI always looks amazing, but a live action movie should be good.

Teaser for the trailer release coming on Friday (I think our Saturday) just got released. I can not wait for this movie.

Not so sure of this. I enjoyed Warcraft and Warcraft II, but that was mostly the gameplay. The setting was a pretty generic fantasy world, and the less said about the story the better.

Surprised they didn't go with Diablo or Starcraft.

Never played the games but looks like something Hollywood can make a heap of movies with plus limitless spinoffs set in the fictional universe.

Oh yeah, the possibilities are endless. I am a massive fan of the lore of Warcraft so I really hope this is successful.

I think to get that feeling of "epic" in size and nature of a movie you need to have a live action format mixed in with the CGI.

Video game movies always suck, Blizzard are trying to cash in on the waning popularity of WOW before it is gone.

Like I said I love Warcraft, WC & WC 2 were amongst the first games I remember playing and I played wow for years but there is no chance imo that this movie is any good

This isn't just any old video game movie. This movie has thousands of years worth of lore. This movie didn't get off the ground for ages because blizzard wanted it done right. Blizzard aren't schmucks, they take pride in their work and like their games it will show in this movie.

I love warcraft and wow as much as the next bloke, but this will suck as much as the assassins creed movie.

Reckon neither will suck, have a stack of faith in both Duncan Jones and Justin Kurzel.

Setting up a big franchise where you're thinking of ticket sales 5 movies ahead is all the rage now. They would've put more thought into this than "Let's just throw some shit together for a one off cash grab". Of course that doesn't guarantee the film will be good.

Going to be a slow burner this one. A lot of story to set up and it shows in the reasonably boring trailer (Well, not boring to me, but to fence sitters). Still very excited for this.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I know it'a got a lot of story to tell, I just hope they make it translate without being boring.

Never played the games. Always seemed boring to me. Duncan Jones is a good director though so it may be good. The CGI looks a bit off at the moment but there is still six months or so to polish it up.

Big blizzard fan, so very keen to see their franchises transfer to the big screen. There's a lot of lore/history with Warcraft, so could see more in the future if this goes well. Trailer looks good!

I'm glad its titled the begginning. I didn't actually know there was definite plans for more than one. Thought it might be a "lets make one and see how it goes". Has the potential to be one main series and many spin off series that tie in together.

I like Ben Foster, he's the only cast member who jumps out at me as being completely competent.
Duncan Jones as a director has a good, albeit small sample size, strike rate.
Loved Moon, enjoyed Source Code (though I haven't rushed to watch it again).
Charles Leavitt as a writer on the project worries me. Seventh Son was just a hodge-podge mess which primarily failed because the story line lacked maturity. Let us hope that Jones had the final say.

I love those movies which are made with complete surety of their success so much so that the last act creates a setup for another film.
Only for the movie to bomb and the series gets flicked.

Warcraft and Warcraft 2 were magnificent. Warcraft 3 was the beginning of the end with that champion crap
