He hasn't been suspended before but because of his bad record and te fact he's a Freo player, he'll get 2 weeks.

Serve's you right all those non-fremantle supporters who had a flutter on them last night, you should know better!
 
It was late, and the correct penalty was 50 metres. The report SHOULD be thrown out on Monday night, but my guess is 1 week.

Of course, taking conspiracies to the absolute extreme, it could be the AFL want us to win a couple more games so we don't get such a good spot in the draft, so Big Knockers will get off with a reprimand so he can help take on Hille next week.:eek: Even Fox Mulder would have trouble believing that, though.

I thought it was bad watching in real time. Then realised he missed his head and Ball knocked himself out. Made him earn his kick, nothing in it, would be happy to see it thrown out.
 
Good fair contest that was at worst a 50 penalty. I love watching Robbie, hope you guys keep him long term (although I wouldn't be too unhappy with him in a Crows guernsey!!!).

I would just like to ask what is his bad record the OP referred to??? I don't recall any priors for him.:confused:

That's right, at first I thought, gees a young freo nobody (all due respect to Warnock) knocking out a name player, he'll get a few weeks surely, then realised it was mostly the clumsy fall that did the damage .. just hope the MRP see it that way ... a week's worth perhaps with low enough points to get off on a reprimand with early plea etc.
 
I was furious last night - Ball doesn't get off unless he's really hurt.

Now that I've seen the replay, I know that the hit itself was not as bad as I thought and most of the damage came from the way Ball landed.

Warnock should play next week.

The 50m (and resulting goal) as well as Goddard pushing him to the ground is punishment enough.
 
When I saw it in real time, I thought it was a 5 week job.

In replay there really wasn't much in it at all, but I fear this comes into the duty of care bracket, where the resulting injury matters more than the initial contact.
 
Clearly late, and clearly had his elbow up looking to inflict physical damage rather than anything to do with contesting. Contact did not seem very hard however, but still no room for that sort of gutless effort.
 
Goddard to get a $10000 fine for wresting Warnock, Warnock to get off.


Oh wait, Warnock plays for Freo....

The free should have been reversed when Goddard came in and grabbed Warnock around the head. I bet my sweet ass it would have been reversed if one of our boys did that.
