According to SEN and Greg Denham Warnock has said if FFC dont trade with Carlton for pick 24 he/ll go in the national draft and Freo will get nothing.This guy must think he/s Jesus Christ

IF this is correct, and it's a big IF, then good luck to him. If he doesn't care where he plays, then why would he insist on us trading with Carlton? If he chucks himself into the ND, he will only end up at Carlton if they use Pick 6. I doubt he'd make it to the second round.

Whats the bet, if the deal falls over. He comes back to Fremantle and doesn't enter the preseason draft.
Some journo for the Australian and SEN are about as credible as a late morning fart sounding like Warnock asking to leave.
They might in the pre-season draft, not in the ND though.

for my liking better to send a message to the footy world that you cant offer shit deals otherwise you wont get the player they want. 24 pick is a high price for that message but next deal we wont be screwed.
at worst, no deal is made and warnock goes to the demons for pick 35 it is a lesser of a lose.

Sorry about that but SEN did say the ND,and sorry again but I/m not conversant with the difference in the drafts,thought they went with the same picking order
im really getting sick of warnock acting as he is star when he's actually been opportunities before he was ready. if j lo didnt do a knee, then he wouldnt have played. we rated him before anyone else did and now is acting like a 2yr wanting his way. i really hope that sandilands run through the bloke and breaks him in 2.

Offer Campbell to Melbourne for pick 19,51 and let them take him in the PSD. Call his bluff i say and do a deal with the Dee's behind his back.
Our team will be a lot better letting him go to melbourne for free than to carlton for pick 39 or whatever. No use building up their star studded list unless we get a good deal out of it. Carlton think they can just continue to bend teams over, wouldn't suprise me if they were in warnocks ear telling him to "stand tough", look at what Judd did to the WCE after talking to Carlton, that's just the way they roll.

Not really, the AFL cant say jack. Campbell was recruited at pick 24 so with the development put into him I think they would have to let it go.

Call me crazy but I would rather pick 24 in this draft than have to use a pick in the 70's/80's because we lost Warnock for nothing. Not the year to make a stand.
It's not just making a stand is it. Would you give warnock to Geelong for a crap pick instead of getting nothing? Or to Hawthorn? Let's just prop the top teams up with talent so they can continue to smash us for a few more years. Good thinking.
Warnock to Melbourne and we can still easily beat them. If Carlton don't pay the actual price (or over) for Warnock then we might as well bend over for the next 5 years as they roger us and other teams.
that kind of attitude will let other clubs know its fine to poach our players, and fine to try and screw us in every deal.
We need to draw a line in the sand. And whats more Melbourne are probably at the bottom of the football world at the moment, they would have a good 4-5 years in the wilderness. With Warnock, Carlton would be deep into the final series the next couple of years. We can reasonably expect to be back in the game in the next 2-3 years, so it would be madness to give Carlton a top notch player for basically nothing.
he is an uncontracted player and unless the dockers delist him which they won't then he has to nominate for the PSD and list his contract conditions ie price.

The club has to gauge how much Carlton want Warnock at their club, if they feel its pick 24 or nothing than take pick 24. However I doubt Carlton would be offering the type of dollars they are for a player they didnt really want. No doubt we will get a better deal from Carlton.
Oh and who cares if he goes to an up and coming team, we have to worry about our own performance before anyone elses.
