Why is punching someone in the chest ok? No matter where he meant to hit the bloke, he meant to hurt him. 6 weeks like Bugg at least
It's not but it's sure as hell a lot less callous than rearranging someones face...I still find it very hard to coprehend he meant to do it.
Think I'm in a bit of shock TBH.

I really feel for Brayshaw, it'll make for a very weird dynamic with Hamish on our list.

It deserves 6-7 weeks. No doubt.
TBH I'm flabbergasted, he's the very last person on our playing list I thought would do something like this.

Maybe he meant to punch him in the chest??...Doesn't sound feasible but it's just so out of character.

Thought the same about Vickery on Cox - can you imagine the reaction from WC supporters on here if I had made that thought public?

Eagles fans were applauding a player who just belted a first year kid off the ball, he may have a broken jaw and has certainly lost teeth.

No, neutrals will not be praising Eagles supporters for it. It was a dog-act, stop pretending this was some sort of square up for seasons past (season Brayshaw wasn't playing in).
100% agree. I mean the fact that the eagles supporters didn't immediately condemn a club legend for an out of character brain fade that he obviously regretted the moment it happened, drag him into the crowd and beat him to death basically means that they are all individually worse than Hitler.

Why make it personal?

Appoligies on being a dumb **** Richmond supporter. I was too busy stealing cars and lining up for my dole cheque while reading your post.
No need to be dramatic.

That's very tenuous spin at best - 'what he meant was' is bad enough for political cheer-jockeys.
The post has been deleted now anyway, but suggesting neutrals should support Gaff is purely baffling and attempting the 'square up' line is embarrassing.
You are imagining things Mofra, pot kettle black on a tenuous spin.

I want to get an idea on neutral supporters opinions on the cheering for Gaff by WC fans after the incident.

Logically, I understand why you did it but it left a very bad taste in my mouth and I lost a fair bit of respect for you lot. I am obviously biased
There was thread on it but it was promptly deleted. Would love to know why, especially given the the amount of crap threads that stay up on here every week.

"Neutral fans should be applauding" was the line - your attempt to mitigate a poster mitigating a dog act is like some sort of weird inception (and not sure why you're quoting a completely unrelated post above mine).

The other thing that really infuriates me in these situations is the comments “it's so out of character” “he`s never done anything like this”.

Yeah, the number of current players who have in the AFL you can count on one hand. Extending that to junior and amateur careers the number of current players who have would still be very low. Players don't do this these days. Never before having punched someone in the face and breaking their jaw is not a defence when you just ****ing have. Neither have 43 other players out there, Gaff wasn't special beforehand for never having done it and he shouldn't receive a discount. Just like Houli`s tribunal was a farce because he can be a role model in the community and be a great religious man all he likes, but he still punched a player out cold and that's all that should matter.
