Great comments from the vice-captain:
“A lot of players talk about being one-club players,” Waters said today. “But to me it’s more than that. I have been at the club since I was 17 and it’s family to me. You don’t walk away from family do you?”
“I completed a rigorous training session this morning and ticked a few boxes,” the hard nut half-back said. “I’ll train with the boys on Tuesday next week and see if I can force my way back into the team.”
“All of the players are cognisant of the depth within the group at the moment and it is tough to get a spot in the team.”
Waters is a great player and his courage in particular is pretty inspiring and it's great to know he'll be here for a while more.
