Do you guys think he will ever be a star of the competition?

His disposal is often very bad. He obviously has plenty of courage and desperation which is great at the moment and was one of my favourite players during our glory years, but I thought he would be better than he currently is, whenever he kicks the ball I cringe. How much more potential does he have / can we expect?

Overtime you would expect his disposal to get better and hopefully it does. If he did get it right he could be a Gun who everyone will take notice off for his football rather than his toughness. IMO his first season always sticks out for mine just in terms of football, he did give us a lot of drive of HB. When his kicking is on song he can be very damaging kicking to a leading forward. His toughness, ethic and value to our team in unquestioned just his skills stop him reaching new heights..

He is a gun
Could be captain such is his leadership.
I've never seen a player attack a footy harder...

Played some brilliant football at the beginning of the year in the middle. Would like to see him spend more time there, we can cover him easily enough in the backline.

His 2008/2009 pre-season mission should be to work on his disposal, can be pretty shocking at times.

Depends on your definition of star I guess. A lot of Essendon fans rate Brent Stanton pretty highly, so it's a matter of how high you set your standards I suppose...

I say no. He was very important in 2006, but dropped off in 2007 as his skills seemed to disappear. So far in 2008 we've been rubbish, and have lacked intensity and leadership. Waters has always had a crack and has been very impressive. IMO (yes, I know he is only young anyway), he is going to be a big part of the next group that plays finals footy for West Coast.

dont think i ever thought he was going to be a star player. just a good reliable tough nut type really. while his disposal is at times off the mark i think he's been one of our better players this year.

Probably won't become a star of the competition (consistent match winner) in most people's terms (e.g. Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Cox etc.). However, he'll be an important figure in providing leadership by setting an example through his courage/intensity/attitude, and swinging momentum/boosting team morale with his big bumps/tackles/1%ers, a bit like Archer did for the Kangaroos.

he is my favourite player all because the way he attacks the footy,i love the the shirtfront.

when i see beau waters i see a future mark mcveigh and I have alot of respect for mcveigh :thumbsu:
He might not be in the elite group but what he shows in his commitment, ferocity, determination and all round good example is where he shines. Beau Waters is a star that will only get brighter, mark my words :):thumbsu:
