I'd almost say the opposite.

Dixon can be spectacular, but is certainly not solid in terms of consistent performance.

His ankles are completely shot, something that is going to have be managed and will always be a problem for the rest of this career. He comes over with off field baggage and very questionable durability.

They certainly paid a lot for someone with talent no doubt, but also with a lot of question marks over his head.

Pass us the Penfolds.

Been following the crows since day dot, can't remember being this excited about a list coming together! As my kids would say "frothing"!!

I always find the way people get their knickers in a knot over RS noms quite amusing. It makes us feel warm and fuzzy when one of ours gets it but seriously... is there a less important individual award in footy than a Rising Star nomination?
Jack Watts agrees

When Dixon is healthy and firing he is a beast.
He can destroy a defence.
I would have him at the Crows in a heartbeat

He's too easily beaten by the best defenders in the comp, did his damage at the GC when Tom lynch was looking dangerous.

Knight, Cameron and Menzel are all ready to go but I don't see how we can squeeze them in at this point. Milera and/or McGovern would be the most likely outs but both are holding their own. Nice position for us to be in given in the past we only seemed to bat to about 18.

If Mackay's average was higher than CC or Knight, I'd agree. But seeing it's not, I could easily see him making way despite having come off one off his very rare good games. History tells us Mackay cannot sustain performances, if we go down by a goal and he's been his normal self, then what an absolute waste thst would be. Back in the future of the club and treat Mackay in the manner that his last 4 years affords him.

Would be a club defining Thursday night, but not something that I'm expecting and nor woukd I be all that disappointed.

Any SA AFL Footballer of the Year competition that only includes the Crows and Port :$

Will be interesting to see who ends up with more goals - Dixon or our key forwards.

That depends on more than just Dixon. Quality of ball, amount of supply etc.
I think he is a knob, plays for the scum down the road, but he is 200cms that is agile, fast, a strong mark and tough.
There is two things he does better than JJ.
One is he is a better ruck than JJ. Check out their respective hit out stats.
The other is he is a far more aggressive pack marking forward than JJ.
JJ is proberbly a touch faster, maybe a better kick for goal as well.
JJ has been less injury prone than Dixon as well.
