I hope we don't make the same mistake we did against Geelong.

If we don't give the Dogs a really good belting behind the ears, I really think we need to re assess. Honestly, we should be able to beat them by 60 odd on our home ground.

I say we take advantage of their lack of height and go in top heavy. Lets pray for the sunshine.

Yeah for sure. We should go in with all our talls. I think we really need to give them an ass kicking. 100 points......really give them a caining in my oppinion!

it would be easy to make a heap of changes for this game but we have to remeber the players that have got us to second place on the ladder. i agree go taller in the forward line but lets not over stack it.

If the loss against Essendon has had ANY effect on the players we SHOULD murder the bullies. Yes we are over confident(the supporters) YES Bullies have done ok recently but surely after that loss, with a week im sure wont be "easy" on the track and just the general affect a loss after so many wins usually has on a side SURELY we will flog them. GO EAGLES!

Beware the sitting bull(dogs).

They were impressive against Adelaide and then being able to go toe to toe against the Kangaroos on the weekend shows that on their day, they deserve to be higher up on the ladder.

It will make a huge difference if Nathan Brown is ruled out for them - early reports indicate it's a 50/50 chance he'll line up.

If we dont beat them I think it will show a lack of character. Especially after what I can only imagine has been a hell of a week on the track.

At home against the last placed side, even if they have been playing well. This is one we should get, and need to get. But I dont think their should be too many changes. Bring back Matera and perhaps one of Morrison or Read. Also bring in one of McDougall or Gaspar. Must go a little bit taller up forward.

Looking forward to getting back in the winners circle!

Bulldogs have really impressed me in their past two matches. Having said that, after that loss to Essendon, we should come out with all guns blazing

I will be going to the game. Just wondering if anyone would like to meet somewhere at 1/2 time. Be nice to put a face to some of the names here.

I tend to prefer a close game. The one sided ones get boring.

It is a chance to rest a couple of players though. I'd be going with Glass and Carroll at FB and CHB to prepare for next season. Garspar would always be in my 22 if fit. Wooden and Chambers are due a run.
It would be interesting to see one out of Staker, Selwood, Hansen get a go.

Vs Bulldogs

I cannot understand why some people suggest players should "get a go" at the expense of players who are performing. It's the same theory about playing young players at the expense of experienced players because "we are planning for the future". I think ALL players should be played on merit - not age or experience.

Do you think we had 22 players who performed on Sunday?

I don't believe we made a mistake against Geelong. We were given a real physical challenge by a young team that missed the Finals by 1 game or % last year, were expected to improve, started abysmally, but nearly beat Brisbane & us. I was delighted that we overcame the challenge.

This week, we should play the team that we think on balance matches up well against the Bulldogs and which suits us in the short & slightly longer term. I'd also only play fit players.

We need to work hard, get to every contrest, play the game out for 4 quarters and have the faith that when we look at the scoreboard at the end of the game, we have been good enough to win. Every week. Doesn't matter who we play, whether they happen to be top or bottom. 5 years ago Brisbane (with subnstantially the same squad) were bottom and a year or so later, so were Port. Two years ago, we.......you get the picture.

No over-confidence, respect your opponent, play to win, believe you will.

I think it's possible to be in 16th spot, while playing better than teams above you.

We should win, but we'll need to play our game, and play it well.

The only excuse for not winning this game comfortably is player complacency. A couple of enthusiastic youngsters striving to impress the coach is always a good team motivation lifter - hint hint ;)

I presume not?

I'm usually at the TAB at half time.

Do any of you guys go into the Bill Walker room after the game?

I'm not too sure. I know it's Captains Club at half time, but after the game, I'm not too sure.
