We might get 4 wins for the season. Maybe 3 of those 6 and pull another out of our arse from somewhere else.

I'm liking one of Essendon (R6) or Melbourne (R8) for first win. Brad Scott and Goodwin are both cooked. Both getting sacked this year.

Essendon and Melbourne are a chance but I expect more of a 2023 GWS trajectory where it's a slow start before things start to click.

Ine backed us at $6,50 to be winless after round ten but actually think we should pinch 2 or 3 by then .

Rounds 6, 8 & 9 are very much live chances. Will go Round 6 as an optimist :p

This week… well a battle of the winless and will depend on the team selection of both.

Our last four games against Carlton:

65
71
108
63

Will be happy with a four quarter competitive showing tbh.

Short term - When is Gov back? - Not before then.

Longer term -
When Yeo gets back - he won’t play before Round 10 but given he will take a month or two to approach decent form, I reckon….

Round 19 vs Richmond @ Optus.

****.

Essendon because I’m coming down to watch from Broome, just listen out for the 6 foot 4 obnoxious prick in the Landing, I’ll be bringing my scarf, **** the systemic drug cheats!

'Have we hit rock bottom yet?'
I'm still undecided. Next 6 weeks will answer those questions for me.
We're past rock bottom. We're in that plateau of being shit because our players don't have 80-100 games into them. We'll be here for a bit. We hopefully track like Adelaide and GC - classic draft rebuilds.

We will easily beat Richmond. We have a good chance against Melbourne at home. Although that's wishful thinking.
Realistically only Richmond and North are our chances for a win.

The fan in me wants more then that but it's unlikely given how poor we are playing.

Round 9 against Richmond is my prediction

We're at such a low point it's anyone's guess when we'll string a few good quarters in a row together and be competitive or in a match. It's happened sporadically and unpredictably over the past couple of years, and it'll happen again. Freo last year, Doggies the year before, as examples that come to mind.

If we strung together another competitive quarter after half-time against the Lions this year, then we'd have been odds on to pinch that one.

But with an inconsistent and developing team we're still a good chance of getting absolutely pummeled by another bottom four side too.

tldr; I'm not tipping us at all this year, but I do think a win will happen somewhere!

Not away at mcg. Richmond players will play their backside off knowing they have a chance to win

Round 8 vs Melbourne will be my first attended game since 2019, so perhaps that one. It happens to be our only night game (at least until round 16 onwards) I think.

Honestly no idea. Mind you no one thought Richmond would win a game this year so we'll bob up and get one somewhere.

But let's be honest, everyone would've realistically thought we'd be 0-4 or 1-3 now if we beat GC or pinched another Derby anyway, it's the fact the team's looked lifeless besides that first half against Brisbane that's pissed me off.
