Sack the coach after 6 months? Not sure what you mean buy that. But with respect what is delusional about that post?
Depending on how Mini progresses from here, he may not be coach by the end of the season.

Footy's not that hard.If Mini gets the sack before seasons end, we need to hire this guy.
He's got the answers.
We got a pretty much fully fit list, picked up three "senior" players in the offseason, had a full preseason together, and we're performing worse than ever (which pains me to say it), IF (that's IF, it can still be turned around yet) it continues then yeah he probably needs to go, I personally think he's in over his head here, we're probably in need of a more experienced coach for now. Then get someone like Mini in the future.Sack the coach after 6 months?
Drop Baker and Graham back to the WAFL?
Come on mate.
You don't need to double down on having the dumbest take I've seen on this so far.We got a pretty much fully fit list, picked up three "senior" players in the offseason, had a full preseason together, and we're performing worse than ever (which pains me to say it), IF (that's IF, it can still be turned around yet) it continues then yeah he probably needs to go, I personally think he's in over his head here, we're probably in need of a more experienced coach for now. Then get someone like Mini in the future.
Edit: Also re: Graham and Baker, we're not trying to win games anymore, we're trying to build a team, and those two haven't been very good, so as may as well give experience to the younger guys in hopes of building them all up together as quick as possible.

Because it's not WCE's money, it's the WAFC's.Hmm, kinda agree with him TBH. It's all well and good having piles of cash just sitting in the bank. They aren't like a public company who pay dividends etc, or a privately own business looking out for their own personal wealth.
Pay the tax for a couple years and get the best people money can buy in and around the club.
Learning a new game plan.Still think we were noticeably better last year gone backwards in my opinion this year
We're saving for a plane. What do we do with all our cash? If we don't spend it, how are we any better off than Norf or the Bulldogs?
Sounds wonderful until you realise how much money we would be throwing at the AFL to do so - increasing each year we go over our cap.Hmm, kinda agree with him TBH. That's why a kid should choose always basketball over AFL if they are a decent chance to make it in the NBA, rather than choosing AFL for the "love of the game".The AFL is a billion dollar organisation overall and the clubs turn over tens of millions a year but footy is a minnow compared to the US, UK and Europe. Players are well paid compared to the average Joe, but there are way more people getting paid the average AFL salary outside the AFL compared to inside. If you a highly paid doctor or lawyer or whatever you also don't have to retire at 35 and find something else to do. Average salaries in the EPL are GBP3-4m a year and the top players get 20m. If you are getting tens or even hundreds of thousands of pounds a week money stops being a consideration.
The NBA veteran's minimum is $2.2m a year, so about $3.3m in our money. They talk about max contract players making $60m a year and that being generational money, but someone like JaVale McGee has bounced around the league for 15 years earning mostly minimum deals and has career earnings of $80m. Gary Ablett Jr and Buddy Franklin would've made $10m+ but there's a reason that Will Schofield and Xavier Ellis are doing radio and TV and podcasts. Playing in the AFL affords you a great life but it's not 100 ft yachts in Monaco territory.
1 in a million get to NBA but if you are even reasonably stand out ish in AFL you'll make millions over a mediocre career with a good managerThat's why a kid should choose always basketball over AFL if they are a decent chance to make it in the NBA, rather than choosing AFL for the "love of the game".
If they're only good enough to an NBL or B-League player, then AFL would probably still be a better choice. That is most likely the situation for those that choose AFL. Similarly with other sports.
The covid hub wasn't exactly by choice, it was a different world at the time. Surely it would be a bit different if it's on the players' terms and there is certainty around it?Good post but what happens now .. just keep going down the same path ?
If travel is the biggest issue has the club and are the players willing to spend a few weeks over east in a hub to reduce the travel load ? . We saw the hub last time and it screwed us
What do we do ?
“There are lots of ways they can make a really smart, clever bid for special assistance that would not give them pick one, but might give them multiple NGA (Next Generation Academy) spots. It might give them Category B spots, it might allow them to access some state-league players (and) pre-list them before the draft.”“There will be a request at some stage there for special assistance. It’s not a priority pick, because the AFL just doesn’t give out priority picks anymore."
