At the time was angry but with time passing I reckon it's part of the game but still want to see him get time.

I just want to see some consistency, this case might see some time similar to Franklin but overall unfortunately I don't think that we will ever see true consistency as it's all about perception. If either Sewell or Cousins got straight back up after those bumps we would not be talking about either.

It's not about protecting players it's about the perception that they are.

After comments from the AFL last week, straight out of Vlad's mouth, he said something along the lines of, 'If you don't agree with this decision then you do not care about player safety'. Smack of public relations and there is too much self inflicted public relations going on in the game, it only works if the public relations are in touch with the public and in the AFL's case we all know that they are not.

Don't take this as trolling. But what's the difference between what happened with Lloyd & Sewell, and what happened with Ablett & Mitchell from the GF?

I dont think it is hypocritical at all to be peeved off with Lloydy's cheap shot on Saturday. I was one person who thought Franklin should have been rubbed out for his hit on Cousins purely because it did get him high. Franklins though was not a deliberate act and was just an unfortunate set of circumstances...

Lloyd on the other hand is a cowardice thug who has seen the game pass him by and thus decided to take one of the Hawks prime movers out regardless of the laws of the game.

I hope Lloydy gets his 6 weeks, and his name tarnished forever!

Except that Lloyd's attack on Sewell was not an accident. It was a deliberate effort to remove our most dominant midfielder (who had torn Essendon a new one in the 1st half) from the game, by a dirty, cowardly player who is years past his prime and knew full well that this would be his last season one way or another.

It was a dog act by pathetic player. It will also define how this sad excuse for a human being is going to be remembered in years to come, and he has no-one to blame but himself.

The fact that many Essendon supporters have been cheering him on and claiming they are "proud" of his actions speaks volumes about your club.

Could say the same thing about Dermie then, even Lethal???
Grow some balls mate and get over it :D:thumbsu:

Which incident are you referring to? The coathanger late tackle in the 3rd which got you a down-field free 60m further than it should have been? I dont remember any other mitchell-ablett incidents even remotely similar to the Lloyd hit on Sewell.

there was also a perfect hip and shoulder which was reported and subsequently thrown out in 2 seconds at the tribunal. It litterally connected shoulder-to-shoulder, yet cats fans are still crying saying it was high
