You've got experienced influential game breakers still in Hodge, Mitchell and Roughhead.

We've got Jmac, Green and Bruce. A tagger and 2 Flankers.

I think Jamar will absolutely tear Renouf apart and your number 2 ruck.

Interesting to note, the only game we looked like winning preseason was against the Crows in Adelaide where Scullgrove was everywhere. 30+ disposals each.
Hmmm....talk about shouldering responsibility for 2 rookies.

I think we've got you covered, but the injuries to both sides are freakish. My thoughts are that we still have damaging players on the park, who should be able to do the job...and you'd imagine the brainstrust at Hawthorn is well aware of the need for a powerful start to the season to get the boys up for round 2-5, which includes Geelong, WB and Collingwood.

My thoughts are the big omissions from Hawthorn will be Sewell, Buddy, and Bateman.

I can't really claim we're "missing" Burgoyne yet, but it'd be great to have him out there.

Renouf will compete well with Jamar, but it's our backup where our problems start.

Rioli MAY play, but I'd imagine its doubtful.

Lewis is right to go, I believe.

If we had Morton, Jurrah, and Sylvia i would give us a little bit more of chance, im hoping we put in a good performace. So important Melbourne win the first quarter, kick straight and give us some confidence.
