I use the tram a bit during the week and fair dinkum, that (or those) Port Power trams give me the irrits. Why don't we have a Crows tram? Of course, the way the team is travelling, it would probably make it to the Goodwood stop and start rolling backwards and eventually crash in a firey hell.

The point of all this is the marketing the Power have done is pretty amazing. It's almost like the AFC is scared to put itself out there and advertise.

I was wondering about that too - there are 2 trams with Port advertising, why haven't we gotten in on the act?

What part of our club at the moment could we possibly promote?

Here's a few ideas.

"Tippett-gate - you aint see nothing yet."

"The future's so incognito Trigg has to wear shades."

"A Doc Clarke a day keeps the premiership away."

"A unanimous board is a happy board."

"Then the boys (club) light up"

We don't need a Crows tram. We need a win.

You can't buy a win though.

I'm not sure of the Power trams operating during Crows matches but it's pretty insulting and stupid if we all get to ride it to and from a Crows home game.

That said, let's not put our less attractive fellows on the tram. Beardhoff looks even sillier when his facebeard is 6 foot high.

I suspect, we've been light on marketing recently because there's the thought that there's not much more to sell.

The view may be that the $$$$ spent on just having a Crows "vibe" around the place isnt really worth it.

Personally i think it's wrong, we should be flooding the market and blue/red/gold should be seen absolutely everywhere.

**** the tram

lets all board the crows train!

The new electric trains already have blue and red on them. Perhaps I could convince a few of my 'miscreant' mates to add a splash of yellow to a few of them. I'd suggest that our marketing department takes care of it, but that seems pretty unlikely.

We don't need a tram, we need some visible presence in the media.

Would advertising or having our own trams take us from 53,000 members and help us make that jump to 60,000? I doubt it as we already have brand recognition within the state. That's what the purpose of that trams have done for Port Adelaide. They have created that brand recognition for people who wish to associate with that brand.

People already know we exist. The data suggest 70% of the state, so they know where we are. We need to be buying full page spreads in the Advertise, radio adverts, getting Dangerfield, Sloane and Tex on TV pushing the 3 game memberships. They need to be selling our core values - football.

They need to inform the consumers what the Prices are, what games are available & who they need to call.

Get that message into the public domain.

That'd be like selling sand in the desert at the present.

True but everyone we can convince tom be a member at the moment, isn't likely to be a johnny come lately and just jump on that bandwagon.

We know they are a a long time supporter.

Yep. It certainly can't hurt, especially using the players mentioned. Hell, my Crows hating mates are all fans of Danger, Sloane and Tex (well, the non Port supporting ones are anyway).

Imagine where we'd be now if we'd been able to build on the momentum from 2012. :(

Nah, why would we use those 3 they aren't very exciting - we have Bickley, the younguns can really relate to him:rolleyes:

I mean he was our premiership captain back before they were born....
