We need Jurrah's spark.

There is a certain rigidness about our current line-up, Davey aside, there is little inspiration and simply a lot of good players that excelled in the system and do the little things (tackling, positioning) right.

It's often noted that we haven't had a superstar for a while, but I think that case is overblown somewhat, what we need more urgently is an influx of players who can turn nothings into somethings, half-chances into goals.

The typical opposition trick of marking Davey out of the game, squeezing the corridor and pressuring our back-half needs to be overturned with the introduction of a bit of ingenuity.

I have up until now been hesitant about bringing the Warlpiri Wizard back too soon, but if he's fit and came up alright from the game on the weekend, get him in the side.

How do I go about being selected? ;)

^Lol.

I can't wait to see Jurrah out there. I just love it how much other clubs fear him. He's played a handful of games and already people are saying stuff like 'oh this kids [like that guy from hawthorn, cant remember his name, kicked a few against the dogs] the new Jurrah' etc.
Imagine what he can do in one hundred games plus.

Listening to Deans presser after the STK game I'm leaning towards yes for this week. Mark my words the Bombers will be furious after last weeks display and they will come out with all guns blazing if we don't select Jurrah we could we get pumped.

IN: JURRAH, SYLVIA, MORTON, BAIL

He could very well be the spark to get us away from our bad starts. Just by doing something amazing and lifting the side.

I would think he would be another week or two away. Still needs to get the confidence and match fitness back. He is playing in patches. If he doesn't play against Essendon i don't think he will play his first game interstate unless 110% fit.

It's clearly something to do with the coach. It's a shame. If he had some grunt in him (DB) then it might fire the boys up before the game. That is one downfall of DB. he doesn't believe in firing his players up. It's fine to be composed but sometimes you just need to rev up the vocals.

Or we could pop some caffeine tablets...Whatever suits.:D

You have my vote, I have seen him in his two games back, he is way off full fitness. I think he needs another two games at Casey.
DB has not rushed any one back inspite of our position at senior level.
e.g. Sylvia last week.
We seldom make more than 2 changes per week, Sylvia,Bail and Morton are the best chances for this week.
DB knows that the first ten games of 2011 is the make or break period for him, I doubt he will rush Jurrah's return.

Last year before he was selected in the 1st's, there is no way that he was 100% fit, at Casey he was very much in & out of the game with flashes of his ability on show... Even in the 1st's, it was not like he was a midfielder (in the play all the time), he was still in & out of the play & as we saw produced moment to remember...

He will be selected this week & work his way into fitness just like last year, but the selectors will be wary of not making him the main foward option, so Bate will survive & don't be surprised if Miller returns (decoy)... (no inside info on this, just a gut feel)

I hope we give Jurrah another week or 2 in Casey.

Surely wouldnt be fully fit yet.

I like the inclusions of Sylvia and Morton.

You may be right, he might provide the spark but I want to see Sylvia & Morton back this week. As for Jurrah the fitness staff will know if he is ready or not.
