How the hell does Sugar Johnson get over 30 disposales...

We needed 2 experienced Taggers Tonight..tight and close Staker style(aka Barry Hall)
1 for Kane Johnson
2 for Jordan McMann ( I think Peake may have been on him.)

I wonder if all of our complaining kept Matt Carr out.....
What TF do we know...... If he could have stoped that, who cares about a few turnover...

I also think Josh plays poor when his Bro is not in the Team. Maybe Matt is Josh's show Pony?:p:)

You dont even have one geniune tagger on your list never mind 2. Its a MASSIVE hole in your list. Look at how much Eagles midfield turned around when Stenglein and Selwood came into the mix. At a ground like Subi taggers are very important.

no matt carr wouldnt have changed a thing

none of the players put in the efoort required to win a game of AFL footy

They showed up grabbed there pay cheques an that is it.

None chased, noone manned up they just didnt give a stuff
Whole game just stood around thinking doesnt matter we will come back an win.
Doesnt happen unless u put in an effort

Kane Johnson has his best game in Richmond colors. Why?

Because no one was on him the entire game! There is one thing M.Carr does well and that is tag a player. He would have been all over him.

We still wouldnt have won, but Kane would have got 20 disp. and not 36.

Stenglein is the worst tagger in the game, according to champion data not a single player gives his opponent more disposals per game then Stenglein. However I do agree we need someone that can do a stopping job, maybe Peake could be told that unless he does a good job on Scott Thompson next week his Freo career is close to being over.

Carr's alight for me and I'm not one of those who calls for his head. But from what I could tell, outside of 50, nobody was on anybody in this game. M.Carr may have made a difference to one player (maybe) but the team (particularly midfield) defense was crap as a unit - the players that were out there were good enough, its just their heads weren't screwed on right.

not only did we not have a decent tagger today but the midfield showed absolutely no respect to richmond.. no one seemed to be on the defensive side of contests.. once richmond won a contest they seemed to just waltz through the middle unopposed...

who gets the blame for that? dont they plan these clearances during practice and have some sort of set up?

not only was noone on the defensive side noone was on the attcking side i saw a nice big tap headed in our direction for once an there was noone there they must be told to tap sideways an backwards only.

So many times this season teams have grabbed it from centre bounce an ran to there forward 50 with no pressure, seems to happen more often with the first couple of taps in a quarter, so many times we give up the 1st goal of quarter that way within a minute of play.

I still dont believe matt carr does a good tagging job used to do it well but last year or so hasnt shut down any players except in derby.

It's because our midfield players stand behind their opponents and are flat footed at the bounce. Nobody is on the move. With a dominant ruckman there should be a player hitting a specific spot at top speed, Goodes on Saturday night was a classic example. Instead our players get sucked into the feet of the ruckman whilst the opposition have an outside player defensive side of the contest to feed the flankers and wingman coming to the contest.

this happened so many times it was becoming a training drill. It was a joke. Harvey got COMPLETELY out coached on the weekend.
