We needed that win!

Good to get over the line, boys fought hard in the end and we had the leg speed to finish it, even though carazzo and campo were sitting on the pine. The inclusiion of the midfielders helped (betts, scotland, simmo), the only worry is our slow first half again.

From what i saw at the game, my best was:
Waite, French, Scotland, Kouta, Johnson, Thornton, Stevo as well


Waite, is that his sixth quality game this year?? Finally playing good footy for four qtrs

Our best were: Waite, Teague, Johnson, Betts and Koutoufidies.

Stevens got alot of the ball but he had a shocker from what I could see. Scotland was average, Camporaele was crap, Whitnall is dreadfully out of form and French was ok. Given all that we did quite well to win.

not an attractive win but a bloody gutsy one ...i'll take one of those every time , Waite is showing all the signs of being Koutas heir apparent.
Barnaby French has a heart as big as Phar Lap he battled on all night and probably was the main reason we won the game .
the blues aren't playing anywhere near the standard of football that they are capable of but at least they are having a dip

yeah i love a win but im sick of coming from behind. wouldnt it be great if we led comfortably the whole game. anyway waite was brilliant and also comented on the midf's always kicking to fev to tony jones after the match. hopefully this will change that and we will not be so predictable going forward.

Stevo had some shocking clangers. Had his worst game for us IMO. Was surprised he had so much possession. Fortunately he stood up when it counted. Lappo was worse.

My best Waite by a street, maybe Betts because he was the game breaker, Kouta, Thornton and maybe Chambers. Teague okay, French okay, Campo good early, Scotland good late.

Jarred Waite kept us in the contest which enabled Betts to blow it apart so Waite has to get the votes. I've said on Bigfooty that he would play a game like that and all the opposition fans laughed at that suggestion.

waite was clearly our best hopefully can keep that up next week which will force whitnall to do what he did in that space of 5 minutes for an entire match. hodge smashed us through the middle and i dont understand why pagan kept bannister tagging bateman wen hodge was clearly mom

Waite, Kouta, Thornton, Teague and Scotland were our best I thought. It's good to get the win and considering we had a draw, our percentage isn't important. Hawthorn are no flash side though (despite what the media think) and we should be getting over those sort of sides more comfortably I reckon. We did have a lot stacked up against us though. 2 interstate games followed by a 6 day break with a Subi hangover is always tiring. Losing Fev during the week didn't help also. The effort was there though, so I have nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm sick of some of you guys saying it was a poor win or whatever.

We travelled 2 weeks in a row beforehand.... and we come out and run a team from behind. That's a good win, not a poor win FFS.

Agree about Stevo, wasn't his best, got a lot of cheap possesions to boost is count as usual.

Lance, atleast he stood up in the final quarter and kicked a couple (he had to, a did so).

Thornton was really good, carm and collective.
Teague, likewise. Took some great marks.

Waite, BOG, best game he has played for the Blues so far.

Eddie, unreal. You just can't expect someone the size of him to be BOG or play 4 quarters. In the end, he helped win the game which is all you can ask for. Did what a small forward does, kick them when it counts.

Kouta, I like him. Probably was one of the game breakers in the end. Breaking the packs and keeping us in the game.

Simpson warranted himself another game as well.
