We are yet to win a Round 1 game with TW as coach, so i am expecting the boys to come out fired up and finally produce the goods this week.

When was the last time we won in Round 1?

You have to be kidding right?,their defence has to be weaker than ours.Our forwards won't have a problem scoring as long as they get the ball delivered regularly and properly by the midfield.

setanta, waite, allowing lance up forward with fish.

setanta has found his feet, waite is finally fit and has moved into the backline where he is gunning, fish has stood up and is (touchwood) uninjured, Lance is in the forward line.

With the improvement of Setanta at FB, the move of Waite to CHB and Thornton now taking on the 3rd tall suddenly makes our defence look ok.

Still, should be a great game though. I'm just hoping that the 'G is packed with both sets of fans.

Between 1983-94 we lost 12 round 1 games in a row (you kids don't know how good ya got it). We only broke the run when they let us play Fremantle in their first ever AFL game in 95.

Since 95 we have done OK. WLWWLWWWLWLL (7 wins, 5 losses). Until the two humiliations these last 2 years we were shaping as round 1 specials.
