The last time we had a meet-up event was basically a decade ago. It was good. Pretty sure I still owe a round on that one, so we really do need to go again.
What we need is to agree a suitable home game, pick a walking-distance venue (Richmond Club Hotel on Swan Street worked well last time) for a few quiet ones before the game before forming a Bigfooty Melbourne board flank to march towards the G, when we all shake hands and disappear out of each others lives for another decade. It’s great - got us a flag last time so I reckon we go again.
Of the meet-up veterans I’m sure Theseventhhamster Simon_Says will be right behind this. Keen to discover whether Hampster is still in the process of losing a fingernail while high on prescription drugs.
I know Crimson Azure will consider it, so Im already counting that as an “in” vote.
Actually I reckon there are heaps of brave souls who will put themselves through some initial socially awkward moments to reap the benefits here. I had some trepidation all those years ago, but it wasn’t especially awkward compared to what I had built up in my head.
Post here if you’re interested - being out-of-town no barrier, we could bounce around dates when Scythe might be in the Melbourne area if needed, or find out whether A11dAtP0w3R has a space in the diary to drive up from Lorne. We can sus something out that works.
